About Us

RI Knitting Group was founded in 1987 as a manufacturer of knitted waistband elastic for apparel applications. Over the years, we expanded the manufacturing into woven elastic, rigid webbings, and braided products. We developed a diverse customer base for our narrow fabrics, so we expanded our line of products and our locations to distribute numerous related high quality products to our customers. Our primary location is in Whitinsville, MA. We are partnered with Directex and Direcsource companies that have locations in Alabama, Los Angeles, Denver, and China.

Today, we inventory a number of raw materials that are integral to our customers’ sewn products. Our quality, cost effective raw materials provide our customers with a one-stop shopping source. These raw materials are shipped daily from any one of our domestic and foreign facilities. In addition to raw materials, we have numerous contract manufacturing projects running daily. Both in the US and China, we assemble and sew any number of component parts and/or completed package products for customers. We then offer fulfillment services using EDI and EB technology to distribute customer products.
