Judging Criteria

  • Social Impact
    Total impact of the idea on society. Does this project add something unique and helpful to the world?
  • Technical Ability
    Scale and complexity of the project from a technical, coding, or physical standpoint. How complicated or interconnected is the project with different platforms or formats? (Multiplier: x3)
  • Commerciability
    The economic or participatory value of the project. Would people be willing to buy it or can it attract a lot of users? (Multiplier: x2)
  • Quality of Demo
    Ability for the judges to clearly understand (1) what the desired functionality is, and (2) see that the functionality is behaving as expected.
