Many moons ago (AKA: 2010, the last World Cup), my friend Rosie and I came across this picspam of hot footballers to watch out for in the 2010 World Cup and were intrigued. Who were these amazing, athletic-looking men? Why were they all hugging each other? Should we start watching the sport?! --and so we did. We were on a road trip to NYC with some other girls and we all watched England v Germany together in a bar in the middle of Times Square, drawing everyone to the open window with our yelling. We stopped at every single rest stop on our road trip so we could catch bits and pieces of the Spain NT games. We ran a Champions League fantasy league that fall - and that was how I fell into following club football. Now I can't imagine a time when I wasn't obsessed with the sport. BUT THIS POST ISN'T ABOUT THAT.
