Functionalities ReVanced Manager can add
Most of the functionalities that ReVanced Manager allows you to modify are related to ads. When you patch an app with ReVanced Manager, you can remove ads in dozens of different apps, meaning no ads will display when you use them. Depending on the app, there are also a number of other possible functionalities. For example, with Spotify you can apply custom themes or change the lyrics provider. With YouTube you can add mods for skipping sponsor ads, recovering the dislike button, watching videos with the screen off or in the background, and many more.
Each app changes its signature once patched
It's important to be aware that, although the package name of the app remains the same, the signature generated is different from the original file. As a result, you will no longer be able to update the app through the various app stores. To update an app, you have to uninstall the patched app, download the APK of the new version, and patch it again. ReVanced Manager always recommends a specific version of an app to install patches onto, as they have all been tested on that version and are guaranteed to work. The patches may not work with other versions.
Automated patching
ReVanced Manager automatically installs all patches on supported apps. After selecting the app you want to patch, ReVanced Manager modifies the app's APK and adds all the patches to it. After installing the app, you can select which patches you want to be active in the app and which you do not.
