Pre-orders are now open for two new Sega Dreamcast controller peripherals. The first is the BitLink DC Dongle, that supports up to four virtual Memory Card’s and allows controllers to connect via either Bluetooth 5.0 LE, wired USB-C and 2.4Ghz for the BitLink DC Adapter. You can purchase just the dongle for $30, or the dongle + adapter for about $80. Installing the BitLink DC Adapter requires disassembling an original Dreamcast controller, but no soldering is required: Simply unplug the original cable, add the included one in it’s place, then run it through to the BitLink Adapter. They’re available in White & Smoke black and are scheduled to ship to customers in July. More info after the links:

This is very cool and something most DC fans should be excited about. First, simply having a BT dongle with VMU support is excellent, but adding USB-C support…and keyboard & mouse support via both BT & USB all is awesome. Heck, just the DC keyboard & mouse alone costs far more than this adapter, although they’re still fun to own if you’re a collector; Check out the eBay paid affiliate link for the DC keyboard and DC mouse if you’re interested.
The adapter for the original controller is pretty impressive as well. It can actually be installed in all original Sega Dreamcast controllers from any region, as well as the Sega Arcade Stick…and even the Retro Fighters StrikerDC wired controller. It also retains full support for VMU’s, including the VMU Pro and also has a rumble motor built-in. And while you’ll need the Dongle to connect it to a Dreamcast (obviously), after installing the adapter you can use the controller on any BT 5.0 LE device, like a PC or Mac.
I strongly recommend checking out the main product pages, as well as the official FAQ for more info. But overall, this just looks awesome and I love the simple install – Heck, just use this as an opportunity to clean your controller, since it’s open anyway!:
