Multi-car pileup 3

Ute Pass strikes again!  Of course I was a little late to the party this time…

The thing that gets me is that this entire series was taken within the space of about 10 days over 2 weekends.

From Pike’s Peak.  Proof that guardrails do work, but do absolutely nothing for the gene pool.

Winter wonderland tours

Most Texans would kill for tours like these.

Which of course I have to remind the Midwesterners who invariably get stuck with tours of this sort and are always sick to death of the cold weather.

Well actually his AOW cowboy name is Cheyenne now but really…how could I not remember him by his nickname at his old job?

He and his wife do a mean barbecue.

Ute Pass isn’t always a walk in the park, however my Colorado experience is partly a loathing for anyone who moved here after I did.  But seriously, tourists can’t drive, and neither can transplants.

Am I really any better?  Perhaps not.  But I was here before it was cool.

I don’t do too many of them these days, but it’s always nice to be able to let someone else do the driving!

Attack Pig

Not really, this one (Maisy?) is actually pretty friendly.  It was her predecessor, June Bug, that would bite you when you least expected it.

Still, I can’t help but think of the movie Secondhand Lions, as the first (and only) time I’ve come across the expression “attack pig.”
