Responsible Solutions Ltd has had a history in Artificial Intelligence since the early days of theoretical AI.
Our founder, Russell Brand’s early work in artificial intelligence was used to generate, maintain, and verify thousands of software systems. Many are critical to infrastructure and public safety. The majority of Americans still rely on these programs for 40 years.
Brand’s work was featured as the cover story of the prestigious Communications of the ACM. Russell currently serves as a fractional Chief AI Officer, outside expert, and independent reviewer for artificial intelligence projects for startups and established companies.

RSL team members served as advisors and outside consultants to a team of Fellows from a prominent global policy institute on their development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) policy and standards framework for statewide adoption.
RSL’s managing director Chris Foltz wrote the forward to “AI For Entrepreneurs” (Birnbaum, 2024) – A first of of type book dually credited to both a human and AI (ChatGPT). Additionally, both Brand & Foltz contributed the books chapter on Startup Funding.
RSL’s Managing Director Russell Brand submitted our first Artificial Intelligence (AI) related technology patent application.
RSL serves as both Senior Advisors and outside consultants to the first AI technology company developed by a certified Minority Business Enterprise serving both the cellular and oil & gas industries.
RSL advises the first of its kind trustworthy generative artificial intelligence model for diabetes care and limb preservation. The technology is featured in the prestigious Journal of Diabetes Science and Technology (JDST) – a bimonthly peer-reviewed medical journal covering all aspects of diabetes.
RSL has introduced Responsible AI inspired generative AI lessons into our kindergarten through eight grade (K-8) STEM education programs in schools in the Chicago metropolitan area. RSL’s AI related STEM curriculum will expand to serve pre-kindergarten starting in the 2025-2026 school year.
