As you transition to using a new login for resources here at NU, all of the same library resources are available to you! We are working with various vendors to get everything you've saved transitioned to your new accounts. If you run into issues seeing saved items, please contact us via live chat or email us at refdesk@nu.edu so we can assist!

Okta Transition - EBSCO Saved Items and Projects

What will happen to my Projects, Saved items, and alerts in EBSCO/NavigatorSearch now that I sign in with Okta (@student.nu.edu) email account?

Great news! Your Projects, Saved records and searches, and Alerts will all migrate to your new MyEBSCO account, created with your new Okta (@student.nu.edu) login credentials.

This means you should see all your folders, saved records and searches, and alerts when you first log in to NavigatorSearch. If you feel like you are missing something from these areas, please let us know. We will work with the vendor to ensure your items migrate as planned.

FYI: For alerts, the email address will NOT automatically update. If you would like alerts sent directly to your new email, click “Edit alert” and enter their new email address. Once updated, you should receive an EBSCO confirmation email to the new address. Your old @o365.ncu.edu email will forward automatically to your new @student.nu.edu email, so this step is not necessary.

Okta Transition - Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a borrowing service provided to currently enrolled students, faculty, and staff at National University. This free service allows you to electronically request and receive journal articles, physical books or book chapters, reports, or other resources when not available in full-text in the NU Library.

Your Interlibrary Loan account is associated with your school email address. The first time you log in to the ILL system with your new @student.nu.edu login, you will not see the history or items associated with your @o365.ncu.edu account. If you need access to these items, please contact us at refdesk@nu.edu so we can assist you.

Items are electronically delivered to your ILL user portal. You can access items in the user portal for up to 30 days or for up to five (5) views/downloads, whichever comes first. You should save a downloaded copy of the file to your computer, cloud storage, or other location for future access.
