Full-Stack Software Developer — Orlando, FL

I am Renzo Johnson, a full-stack software developer based in Orlando, Florida. I build WordPress plugins, WooCommerce stores, React interfaces, and native mobile apps. In short, if it runs on a screen, I can build it.

What I Build as a Full-Stack Software Developer

My primary focus is the WordPress ecosystem. Specifically, I create performant plugins that solve real business problems. My most popular project is ChimpMatic Lite, a Mailchimp integration plugin for WooCommerce that helps store owners automate their email marketing. It connects WooCommerce customer data directly to Mailchimp audiences, segments, and automations.

Additionally, I design and develop custom WooCommerce stores for clients who need more than a default theme. Every store I build prioritizes speed, accessibility, and clean code. As a result, my clients get storefronts that load fast and convert visitors into customers.

Beyond WordPress, I build React-based dashboards and admin interfaces for SaaS products. Moreover, I am expanding into native mobile development for iOS, macOS, and Android. The goal is simple: deliver the right tool on the right platform.

How I Work

I am a Content Management System evangelist. However, I can build a static site for clients who require one. I offer the best balance of ease and control with WordPress, but I am skilled with a long list of CMSes to suit different needs. In particular, I focus on writing maintainable, standards-compliant code that other developers can pick up and extend.

Furthermore, I enjoy collaborating with smart people on challenging projects. I have traveled extensively to many parts of the world and revel in learning from different people and cultures. In fact, that curiosity drives how I approach every project — with fresh eyes and no assumptions.

When I am not concentrating on code, I work on Cnvrse, a live chat plugin that connects WordPress sites to Telegram, Slack, and Discord. I also enjoy photography, home mixology, and I write regularly about code, life, and things that make me happy.

Technologies and Tools

As a full-stack software developer, my daily toolkit includes PHP, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, MySQL, Redis, Nginx, and Docker. I also work with the WordPress REST API, WP-CLI, and the WooCommerce extension framework. Consequently, I can handle everything from database schema design to pixel-perfect front-end implementation.

Most importantly, I care about shipping software that works reliably for real users. If you have a project that needs a developer who thinks beyond the code, I am available and ready to help.
