Featherless.ai is building a reliable and comprehensive open-model inference platform for AI creators, startups, and enterprises.
The company is hiring a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to enhance the user-facing platform, which includes the model catalog, documentation, and tools.
The Platform Team is responsible for building interfaces between users and the inference cloud, including model discovery, API key management, usage analytics, billing dashboards, and overall developer experience.
As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer, you will own product development from user flow diagramming to shipping production features.
You will drive UX decisions by wireframing new features, iterating on existing interfaces, and advocating for user needs.
Responsibilities include building and maintaining the web platform, collaborating with the API team for seamless integration, responding to user feedback, and evolving the platform architecture as the user base grows.

Requirements:

A minimum of 5 years of full-stack engineering experience with production web applications is required.
Strong frontend skills with modern JavaScript frameworks are necessary.
Backend experience with Node.js and API development is essential.
Ability to wireframe and prototype UX flows using tools like Figma or Sketch is required.
Experience with databases and caching layers is necessary.
First-hand experience building with LLMs and familiarity with popular open models is required.
A track record of shipping features independently with minimal oversight is essential.
Preferred qualifications include experience with the tech stack: Nuxt, Vue, TypeScript, Node.js, MongoDB, Redis, Vercel, Cloudflare, and Kubernetes.
A background in developer tools, API platforms, or infrastructure products is preferred.
A design sensibility and passion for crafting user interfaces is desirable.
Experience with analytics tools and data-driven product decisions is preferred.
Familiarity with billing and subscription systems is a plus.
