Why this program is important to us

Regrid was born out of Detroit’s civic technology and community advocacy movement, where we started as Loveland Technologies in 2009.

Back then, we saw firsthand how transformative data could be for tackling big challenges—yet we also saw how many critical projects struggled because they lacked funding to access the resources they needed.

We created the Data With Purpose program because we believe that great data should never be out of reach for the organizations and individuals working to make a difference. Whether you’re a nonprofit or in academia we’re here to support the important work you do, no matter the size of your budget.
