You may remember that a month or so ago l posted a picture of the waterlogged and partially sunken pleasure cruiser ‘Escapade’. She had broken free from her mooring on the Canal Lateral at Meilhan-sur-Garonne during a violent storm and took on sufficient water to partially sink her.
Today we discovered that she has been successfully lifted out of the water and is now resting alongside the canal. My untrained eye didn’t see any damage to the hull, so hopefully, with a new paint job, she can be refurbished and enjoy a few more years of active life on the water.
