In every issue of Record Collector magazine, we offer a variety of incredible prices to be won via our competitions page. Two of the competitions from that page are also listed below, often alongside an online only competition (Our regular high-prize value crossword competition is only available in the print magazine).
To participate, simply select the current monthly competition, answer the question, and submit your entry. We know the answers are often out there, but please play fair—don’t cheat!
All valid entries are automatically entered into a draw, from which winners are selected at random. (Winners are announced in the print magazine. Winners of online only competitions are announced in our e-newsletter)
This month’s competitions:
Toomorrow

Content with a life of playing music and attending student protests, groovy London-based psych/bubblegum pop group Toomorrow, fronted by Olivia (Olivia Newton-John), are rather inconveniently abducted by aliens. This 1970 sci-fi musical comedy, directed by Val Guest, was shelved after one week in cinemas due to a lawsuit and was impossible to watch by the public for decades. Sitting somewhere on the spectrum between Wild In The Streets and Austin Powers, it’s now restored and seeing the light of day thanks to the BFI.
Jack Bruce Sessions

Official 4CD and two blu-ray anthology of the surviving radio and television broadcast sessions by Jack Bruce recorded between 1970 and 2001. Featuring a TV session of Lifetime for Beat Club in Bremen in 1970 and all the surviving BBC radio and TV session recordings and appearances, including two concerts screened by The Old Grey Whistle Test in 1975 and 1981. It’s out now via Cherry Red, all newly remastered and restored from the original master tapes, including an illustrated book.
