Mir ist vor einer Weile aufgefallen, dass die Einträge, dich ich auf Dreamwidth poste, schon länger nicht mehr hierhin crossgeposted werden. Anscheinend erlaubt LJ keine externen Services mehr. Da LJ einer russischen Firma gehört und man nicht sicher sein kann, wie es damit weitergeht, werde ich mich darum auch nicht weiter kümmern.

Falls hier irgendwann nix mehr geht: ich bin unter gleichem Namen auch auf Dreamwidth und tumblr, und auf Discord unter le_becc#2001.

Dreamwidth kann übrigens existierende LJ-Blogs und Communities importieren, eignent sich dadurch hervorragend als Backup auch wenn man nie vorhat nach DW umzuziehen. Ansonsten ist DW ja ein LJ-Clon, benutzt sich also ganz genauso und ist neben AO3 ein weiteres Code-Projekt, welches aus der Fan-Community hervorgegangen ist.

... the new TOS on LJ says that accounts may be deleted when they haven't been used for more then 6 months. While I do post regularly in comms, I don't post to my own LJ much and I don't know what "haven't been used" means exactly. So, here's a post. And how the whole Russian gay propaganda laws will affect fandom and all the people in it, or how much LJ is going to enforce stuff (or turn a blind eye) remains to be seen.

I'm glad that I already have everything imported/crossposted to/from DW so I have backups, but still, there are some people/comms that are active on LJ but not on DW that I wouldn't want to miss.

EDIT: So while the PDF downloads are not free and ask you to log in, the mobi downloads work without login. (And look suspiciously like AO3's mobis.)

EDIT2: It starts to look more and more like a scam page going for credit card numbers and emails/passwords than a pirate site. Maybe fanfic is just collateral damage, since they've got loads of popular published works on there as well, which seems better-suited for the scamming thing. Whatever you do, don't use real email addresses with them, and only the pen name they already know, not your real name.

I'm not going to participate in Yuletide this year. Over the past few years Yuletide has become a bit of a staple for me, so this winter is definitely going to feel strange and a little sad, too. But the thing is, my creativity is currently so firmly engrossed in Büttenwarder that I don't feel like being distracted by anything else and I probably wouldn't be able to do my recipient's request justice. I've also been doing stuff throughout the year so it's not like some years where Yuletide was almost my only fannish output.

On the plus side, I got myself a card from de-bingo again. I had a lot of fun with it last year, plus I get to choose the fandom(s). :D

Von dort aus sind wir dann nach Geesthacht an der Elbe geradelt. Der Rest vom Urlaub war auch noch ganz nett, wir sind bis zur tschechischen Grenze gekommen. Wir haben in einigen Käffern übernachtet, die ungefähr so abgelegen sind wie Büttenwarder sein soll (Stormarn ist ja doch relativ dicht durchzogen von Autobahnen, Bundesstraßen und vielbefahrenen Landstraßen), insbesondere in den ostdeutschen Bundesländern und der ehemaligen Grenzzone. Und es war natürlich super, die Büttenwarder-Rundtour gleich am Anfang gemacht zu haben, denn man hat auf so einer Radtour viel Zeit, seinen Gedanken nachzuhängen, und da war die Inspiration sehr praktisch. :)

Wir haben dieses Jahr unseren Fahrrad-Urlaub damit verbracht, die Elbe hinaufzufahren. Da der Drehort von Neues aus Büttenwarder im Landkreis Stormarn östlich von Hamburg gar nicht allzuweit von der Elbe weg ist, habe ich darauf bestanden, dass wir einen kleinen Abstecher "nach Büttenwarder" machen. :) Im Folgenden ein kleiner Bericht und sehr viele Fotos inklusive Vergleich von mit Screenshots aus der Serie. Mal abgesehen vom Spaß, den ich bei der ganzen Sache hatte, sind die Fotos und Screenshots als Referenzen für Fic oder Art ja vielleicht auch ganz nützlich. *g* Alle Bilder kann man sich in groß ansehen mit Rechtsklick -> "View Image"/"Bild ansehen".
