BacteriaFree builds long-lasting antibacterial protection into the turf so surfaces stay fresher between cleanings. You keep the natural look and comfort people love, with added confidence for homes, schools, and commercial projects.

BacteriaFree is a RealTech® enhancement that embeds antibacterial agents within the turf system—at the yarn and/or backing level during manufacturing. It’s not a spray or after-market coating. The protection is invisible, won’t wash off under normal use, and is designed to last the life of the product, helping inhibit the growth of odor-causing bacteria on the surface.

When bacteria contact the treated surface, the integrated antibacterial components disrupt their ability to grow and multiply, reducing colony formation. Because the protection is built into the polymer, performance is consistent across the field or landscape and continues after weathering and routine cleaning. Pairing BacteriaFree with good design—proper drainage (e.g., MaxDrain), correct infill levels, and regular rinsing—delivers the cleanest, most comfortable experience.
