- When Methos learned Never to Get Between a Married Couple [for Alexander]

Drusilla had insisted to her husband that they stay with Batiatus a while longer to enjoy the delights Capua had to offer. A few weeks at the least. And Petronius, ever the slave to his wife's whim succomb to her wishes. And Methos as thier literal slave was forced to stay there as well.
Not that he was upset with the decision to stay, for it gave him more time to spend with Alexander, in the sparing quiet moments they could find at night when their Domini had retired. Of course it meant they both had to endure the attentions of Drusilla. It was miraculous really that Methos had been able to avoid her desires for him this long. It took a cunning skill of words and evasion, but he had a feeling it would only last so long before it came to a head. Something he was very much not looking forward to.
It was late at night, so late that it might as well have been morning really. Methos lay curled beside Alexander in the cot that was much too small for one of them let alone two, but he hardly cared. He rested his head on Alexander's chest, eyes closed, "Do you know the next time you're to fight in the arena?"
Methos thought of it regularly. Feared for when Alexander wouldn't win. When yet another he'd come to care for perished.
