Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Claire from The Captive Reader and Sharlene from Real Life Reading that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries.
Happy Wednesday! What did you get from your library this week?
Here’s my latest library loot:
You and I Eat the Same: On the Countless Ways Food and Cooking Connect Us to One Another – edited by Chris Ying
Randomly found this on a nonfiction shelf at the library, and was wondering why Ying’s name sounds familiar. And realised he’s the guy who’s on David Chang’s cooking show on Netflix. Also I used to read Lucky Peach and he was….an editor I believe.
Luminous Beings – David Arnold, illustrated by Jose Pimienta
Interestingly, this graphic novel takes place over just one day.
Red Threads – Ila Nguyen-Hayama
A Japanese teen is offered a place at a magical school, but is the school cursed?
Flip – Ngozi Ukazu
A Freaky Friday type thing where a girl and her crush switch bodies, just that she’s the poor black nerdy scholarship student attending a rich private school and he’s the cool rich white boy.
Fly by Night – Tara O’Connor
This is described as an environmental thriller graphic novel, I’m curious!
