For pure pleasure I read Science Fiction.  Being transported into a dream-like, anything goes state, is very addictive.  There have been periods when I read other things but one day I decided to read in the Sci-Fi & Fantasy section almost exclusively.   Some  authors and their books are best read in order – even if they aren’t a true series.  With Issac Asimov’s books I began my mission to read his robot books in order after being given book 10 for Christmas. Now I have a large catalog of  authors I follow and the books they have written – marking which I have read and when.  I also made reviews – to remind me of the story line and to say if it was a good read in some way. Also, if  the books are a series I like to read my notes to remember the book, when waiting for a sequel.  I’m sure I am not alone in picking up a book and 10 pages in you realise you’ve read it before.  The catalog has helped with that too.

This blog is an extension of my catalog.  I would like to share the books and authors I like.  I promise not to tell much about the story – only its theme and temperament.  I hope to meet others who like this genre and learn of authors I have not yet enjoyed.  I am always looking for new books and authors.
