— Seaworthy

seaworthy

I didn’t always have a tearful look—
That… today, I carry, and I have.
Then, a dark time came with evil,
To weaken a strength’s retrieval.

I laid on an empty swimming pool,
Staring at an amazing, glaring sight.
Likewise, I sat at a pedestrian zone,
Thumbing up to my first hitchhike.

I sweetened my weeping with sleep,
A cheapened grin, a fraudulent relief.
I found contentment in a muddy flow,
Sentenced to the sea’s green glow.
