Here's Baby in her cast!


She's doing really well.  Don't worry, she hasn't been crying!  The moisture around her eyes is from the gel that they apply to an animal's eyes when they undergo anesthesia.  A dust bath will take care of it, but she can't have one until her cast comes off.

Baby's been home for a while now and she's doing good. She's a little grumpy but after a wrist fracture and a couple shots, I can't blame her!
Her little leg is in a cast and they're either going to remove it or replace it later on next week. We need to give her meds a couple times a day but that's no problem. <3

The worst thing happened last night. I went downstairs to put a little container of ice cream away in the freezer and I happened to notice that Baby was hanging on the bars to the cage, her arm caught between a piece of cardboard stuck to the cage and the bars. Kevin and I freed her but she was dragging the arm around uselessly.

We gave our vet an emergency call and he said he'd see her first thing in the morning. It was so hard for us to get to sleep, we were so worried.

Today we got up early and took her to the vet and he took x-rays and said she might have a slight wrist fracture coupled with some soft tissue swelling, which is better than what we thought (we thought her whole arm was dislocated). He's kept her for a few hours more until he could get around to applying a special cast to her and Kevin is bringing her home now. She's been quite the little trooper. :<

I've been sick with worry. I feel so terrible that we let something bad happen to Baby. There's just nothing worse than seeing an animal in pain, especially one I love so much.

I'll post an update about her condition when she gets home.

I've been considering putting one together, but I don't know how to. I've just been thinking about it lately...who gets what when I die? I'd definitely update it once I had children, but it just seems like I should have something in place so Kevin doesn't feel overwhelmed by what to do with all my crap if something happens to me, especially my pony collection! I have over 530 of the things, after all!

You know, I'd...act exactly the same. I'd wear pink My Little Pony shirts and squeal over adorable little animals. Yeah. Nothing would change!

I was just woken up by an earthquake today!!  Man, I guess earthquakes can happen just about anywhere.  I didn't realize they happened in New Jersey very often until I looked it up today.  Looks like people in NY and further down south felt it too!

Quit my job after a customer antagonized and yelled at me today for spilling her pack of blueberries.  Then she called me a dumb ass and walked out of the store. 

I know I probably talk about ponies in this journal far too much, but I'm WAY too excited not to mention this here:

My absolute FAVORITE character from My Little Pony:  Friendship is Magic is being made into at least TWO different toys by Hasbro!



The toy on the top with the stupid eyes is her 3 inch (regular G4 pony size) form, and the toy on the bottom is a STYLING 6 inch version of her!!
Sure, Hasbro neglected her royal attire and made her a lighter purple and gave her like 50 colors in her hair when there's only one, but SQUEEEEEE PRINCESS LUNA TOY I AM SO FREAKING EXCITED.

I don't know when the toys of her will be available in the US.  These pictures were leaked from China. XD
