Chapter 6.2

Welcome back to Random Branches! In the last chapter, John got married to Mae and got Visa 3 in Shang Simla and then started working on Champs Les Sims.

We start off with Lyse writing a novel as she’s been having wants related to that.

Jolinar working on her Martial Arts skill for her LTW.

John needs logic for Medical so he’s working on that when he’s home if he’s not at work.

Sometimes Mae joins John in playing chess. Usually autonomously.

And the next trip the board seems to bug out again, but I don’t know. I end up getting him a quest line to unlock one of the tombs he hasn’t explored and it led him to needing to go to Al Simhara so this was a very quick trip.

Back at home, we work on the befriend family members goal for the generation so that we can knock that out before people start dying or I want to move out of this world.

So we start with Adama since he’s the oldest.

Then move on to his mother, Dylan.

We locate where I placed George down and got started to work on him.

Had to do this twice as my game crashed. Probably memory related as I had been playing for a while at this time. Didn’t lose much, but still had to replay John and George becoming friends again.

Which was also the day that Aria aged to Young Adult.

Her Young Adult trait is Natural Cook. Her LTW is Renaissance Sim.

Keeping her at home until John makes friend with all of his siblings for better access.

Soon we’re back on trips and in Al Simhara.

We investigate every nook an cranny where treasure may be lurking.

And at one point find a mummy.

We end up fighting his mummy. He lost, but thankfully, no mummy curse so we’re good there.

During the above trip, John wished to have his first child.

So when he got home, he and Mae began to work towards that.

And we end the chapter with the location that John and Mae chose to try for a baby.

  • Unlock all tombs [Will be considering this one completed if we have at least 6 tombs in each location when the heir of the next generation hits YA]

  • Marry local of travel location Not doing this as they are all generic looking – aka “pudding”

  • Give sim medical advice
  • Decide baby gender for Sim
  • Befriend all co-workers – Not made any friends yet. Will cap this at 4 coworkers max for the case of NRaas story progression or EA adding more coworkers

  • Vaccinate 10 Sims Not doing as these things don’t tend to work properly in my game.

Chapter 6.1

Welcome back to Random Branches! In the last chapter the kids grew up more and we began progress on John’s goals for the generation.

We start off this chapter with the introduction of Mae Wheelers. As you can tell, she’s been here for a bit. I just didn’t get a picture.

Mae Wheelers’ traits are: Workaholic, Genius, Perceptive, Hopeless Romantic, and Ambitious. Her LTW is to be a Scientific Specialist.

Her and John get along really well and I find them cute together.

I waste no time in getting them engaged.

And then it’s back to Shang Simla to work on increasing his Visa again.

We were at the raise your martial arts to 10 step so that is why we’re suddenly back at home. Nothing super interesting happened.

And back in Shang Simla, on a new quest finally. Working towards getting the axe.

Back at home because the quests take some time to get through. Working on his logic for his career.

Back in Shang Simla and we begin making major strides in questing.

Not having to do super long tomb explorations is helping things out. Not that we don’t need to do that, but right now, focusing on getting the Visa rank to level 3. Then I’ll worry about getting the tombs.

Soon we are done with Shang Simla.

And we are now in Champs Les Sims and we quickly get the quest chain that requires John to make nectar of certain quality so many trips back and forth from Champs Les Sims as it takes time to get the skill.

I just like this picture. This would have definitely been a picture I would have wanted to figure out how to use if I was still doing a plot alongside the challenge.

Back at home, and someone, probably Dylan, made french toast.

Back in Champs Les Sims for more nectar making.

And a few trips later, we’ve finally moved into the series of quests that have you investigate the mansion.

It’s around here when I get a new computer and suddenly the adventure board starts working better. Maybe a file got bugged or something? Hopefully, it remains unbugged for the remainder of my need for it.

I love the simple wants they get as they explore that give you hints as to what to expect with regards to hidden doors and traps.

We are still in Champs Les Sims.

It appears that George Zenteri is also doing some vacationing of his own as well. The two catch up a bit. Would have also used this if I was still doing plot. Even if it meant me making a story save specially to get a playable George to control.

And the final thing that happens is John is back home and we get him and Mae married.

Chapter 6.0

Welcome back to Random Branches! In the last chapter, Terena and James died of old age, John was declared heir, and several Sims aged up to the next stage.

We start this chapter off with John’s graduation ceremony that I remembered to do in a timely fashion as one of my NRaas mods lets me push it out if I want and I have to actually tell them to go to graduation.

Adama and Dylan are still very much in love and share a kiss after returning home from the graduation ceremony.

Jolinar however makes use of the trampoline before she comes inside.

Aria has found the VR goggles.

Soon it was time for Lyse to age to teenager.

She’s a gorgeous teenager. Her teenage trait is Charismatic.

Dylan has found the hot tub.

Someone broke the television and since Jolinar can just recombobulate it, I have her do so instead of trying to figure out who has the highest handiness or calling in a repair Sim.

John needs logic for his career. Not having him going to University as I’m still tired of Sims 3 University thanks to Adama’s LTW.

Again, still madly in love.

As John has aged to YA. John’s YA trait is Handy and his LTW is to be a Creature-Robot Cross Breeder.

And with George and Jolinar being practically twins, George aging up means Jolinar is not far behind and she has also aged to YA. Her YA trait is Athletic and her LTW is Perfect Mind, Perfect Body.

We do however end with another birthday, however this time for Adama as he is now an elder.

And now that we are at the start of John’s generation, time for John’s goals! He is going to do Explorer and Doctor.

  • Marry local of travel location Not doing this as they are all generic looking – aka “pudding”
  • Have child(ren)

  • Reach level 10 of Medical Career
  • Befriend siblings and parents

No current progress in the Explorer goals as John has not traveled. No significant progress towards any of the Doctor goals except the one to join the Medical Career and to progress to level 10 of the career as he’s currently level 7 of the Medical Career.
