Rak Design is looking for a freelance, part-time Website Designer with 5+ years’ experience who loves building modern, high-performing website designs. If you’re sharp on UI/UX, understand what makes websites convert, and keep up with the latest web tech, we’d love to hear from you.


The Role

You’ll design websites and landing pages for a range of clients, working closely with our team to deliver clean, user-friendly, conversion-focused designs.

Typical work includes:

  • Website UI design (homepages, service pages, eCommerce layouts)
  • Wireframes → prototypes → final UI
  • Design systems / reusable components
  • Collaborating with developers to ensure designs are build-ready

Required (Must-Have)

  • 5+ years’ professional web design experience
  • Strong portfolio showcasing modern website design work
  • Excellent understanding of responsive design, typography, layout, and UX
  • Confident with Figma (preferred) or comparable tools
  • Reliable, organised, and able to work to deadlines
  • Strong communication (you can explain design decisions clearly)

“Latest Technology” We Want You Comfortable With

You don’t need to code full-time, but you should understand modern web workflows and design for them:

Design & Prototyping

  • Figma (preferred), prototypes, components, design systems

Modern Web Standards

  • Mobile-first design, UX best practice, conversion-focused layout
  • Accessibility awareness (WCAG)
  • Performance awareness (Core Web Vitals principles)

Front-End Awareness (Nice to have)

  • Understanding of HTML5 / CSS3 (Flexbox, Grid)
  • Awareness of modern frameworks and build patterns: React / Next.js / Vue
  • Familiarity with modern component-driven design handoff

Bonus

  • eCommerce experience: Magento / Shopify / WooCommerce
  • Basic motion/interactions (micro-animations / Lottie)

Working Pattern

  • Freelance / Part-time
  • Flexible hours (agreed per project or weekly allocation)
  • Ongoing work available for the right person
