I can't swear that my hand isn't on his ass, because I don't really remember for sure and he's tall enough that it could be. I'm assuming it's not, only because he didn't say anything...

Mom is taking the dog to be put down. Her health failed very quickly in the last 2 weeks, and at 12 years old we aren't willing to let her suffer through vet visits and medications. However, knowing it's the right thing to do, and being able to do it, are two very different things.

Rest in peace Tessie. You were a wonderful dog. I'll never forget how much you loved your family, and your cats. I loved you so much, teaching you to swim, going for walks, chasing Nikki, snuggling together... You'll be missed for a long time.
