Hey everyone! Its been awhile.

The story is long and convoluted, but I've been without internet access for the last few weeks. I'll get my computer set up again soon and in the meantime I'll be making my way through the back log of emails and messages.

I'm looking forward to being able to make icons again. Now I just need to set aside the time to do so. I'm also hoping to finally start learning how to play my guitar.

I'll post a longer entry when I have time but for now I just wanted to say that I am still alive.

I had some free time and decided to make a wallpaper for my desktop computer.

I couldn't find a Cheshire Cat wall paper I liked so I made my own. This version of the Cheshire Cat is from the Nintendo DS Alice in Wonderland game which is loosely based around the most recent movie.

My favorite book is still Dr. Suess' Oh Say Can You Say. Coming in at second place is The Big Over Easy by Jasper Fforde.

It's disheartening that not many people are participating in the helpsomalia auction. I wonder if it's an advertising issue or just a lack of interest.

In other news, my home is infested with ticks. I loathe ticks. They just don't die. Using a fogger apparently only kills about 2% of the tick population so I had to go down to the local do-it-yourself pest control store. The guy there has a degree in etymology which is awesome.

Thanks for all of your responses guys! I really liked the layout but the entries kept overlapping the navigation section. The code couldn't be tweaked to fix that issue unless I practically rewrote it from scratch. Which I do not have the time for.

So, I've decided to just experiment with different layouts until I find the one that works perfectly for me. I seem to have turned to customizing my livejournal as a source of amusement, apparently I've run out of ways to keep myself entertained. XD

I decided to change my profile layout as well, since I was already switching things up.

1. How did Carter become your favorite character?

I'd have to say it all started with chemicals, bombs and explosions. After that I came to love him because he's so perky and unintentionally hilarious. I have a soft spot for characters that may not be the brightest crayon in the box at times, but they always come through in the end. His loyalty to his friends (the friendship stuff is why I like HH in general) and that he tries so hard (even if he doesn't always succeed) just make me adore him even more.


2. Have you ever considered writing Hogan's Heroes fic? What story would you write if you could?

I've considered it. It would probably end up being a short drabble, but I've thought about it. I used to write when I was in high school but I lost interest and turned to math and science. I particularly enjoy writing poetry.

If I did write a story it would most likely be about Carter's sioux heritage. I've read quite a bit about the various tribes in North and South America and I've always felt that the show never truly explored Carter's heritage. So either that or some off the wall slapstick. =D


3. What episodes would you have liked to have seen if Hogan's Heroes hadn't been canceled?

That's a tricky one. Probably more episodes exploring the character's backgrounds. I wish that the show had given the characters a bit more depth, if that makes sense. XD


4. Which of the Kratt bros is your favorite, and why?

I'll have to go with Chris. For one thing, I prefer the color green  - I know that's shallow, but at least I'm honest XD.

As for his personality, I like how he's typically the voice of reason. Other than that I'm not quite sure why I like him more, I've never really thought about it. XD

Although, the brothers wouldn't be as awesome if they didn't have each other to play off of. Chris would be pretty fun to watch on his own but with Martin around the shows are even better.


5. What is your favorite Kratt moment (any series)?

Now that is a hard question. It's been so long since I've seen the older series that I'm just not sure. I liked the time when Chris just started climbing the tree like a monkey (although the subsequent agoraphobia wasn't all that great, but it's truly inspirational that he was able to overcome it). I love the honey badger episode but that's because I think Honey Badger's are simply awesome.

Now I have to go back and re-watch the shows so I can give you an actual answer. darn you.
