My Life’s Odessey!

I traverse on life’s journey, one step at a time, with no inkling of when I shall reach my destination. The fascinating realm of the unknown beckons me, as I take one step at a time to reach there. Like everyone else, I too was given a beautiful little bag at the start, to fill it along in this sojourn. Today that bag has expanded so much, that it made me stop and open it. I take a peek into it to find a collage of myriad experiences I have collected enroute. I see some happy ones, some that were great teachers while others that bruised my heart. The excessive emotional baggage, slows my pace pulling me back. I realize that unless I shed the bulk of the ugly unwanted paraphernalia, I will struggle to move on. I scan through the memories and try to sieve out the scars, let out the tears and weed out the creepers of negativity emanating from them, only to realize, that this isn’t so easy after all. I pause, reflect and persevere. I stand up once again, regaining my composure from those faltering steps. My perspective shifts. I admire the beauty of the blossoms, inhale its fragrance, breathe in the green elixir and look back at my ascent, celebrating my journey of becoming. I junk the unwanted garbage I was holding on to and continue with renewed faith, thanking heavens above, for guiding me towards its expansive blue arms waiting to welcome me into its embrace.

Emancipation!

Disjointed letters, scattered emotions

embroiled in a tug of words

unsettle the sync of thoughts.

They find a cohesive coherence

under natures balmy umbrella

blossoming into a bouquet of ideas

Life’s Cards!

Two different takes on the above picture.

Opportunities

second chance seldom comes by

ace it or burn it

Infidelity

flames of betrayal engulf

dreamy heart ablaze

My bundle of joy!

Tweaked an old poem of mine.

Cradling my newborn, for the first time ever,

close to my bosom, snuggling,

words failed to describe the surreal moment.

A surge of hormones swirled within

as I looked at her angelic face.

In a trance, my heart melted,

tears moistened my eyes,

while my lips curved into a smile.

Unconditional love flowed,

sprinkled with good wishes

for my tiny bundle of joy

and,

I whispered into her ears,

“You are beautiful”, my princess!

Tide of Time

Moments become memories in the sands of time,

fluttering pages from the book titled “life”.

As I turn each page, the memories come alive,

Some with jagged edges scarring the soul

while others sewn with happy smiles.

Some fading away into the distant horizon

while a few lighting up a special glow within.

Each experience altering my belief and thought.

A few blank pages wait in anticipation.

What is going to fill them?

Monochrome ink or colourful splashes!

Only time will tell…

The Sly Cats…

Skewed vision of life blurs the fringes of conscience,

reins of sovereignty go awry,

the sly cats tread stealthily and trample the common man.

Inebriated under the intoxication of power, fill their coffers unabashedly.

Unsympathetic to the hapless cries, the sly cats mute the impassioned pleas.

They openly flaunt their callous signatures of villainy,

that sadly gets buried under bureaucratic loop holes.

The society shudders,

under the sly cat’s sinister laugh of hollow triumph.

Are we guilty?

Eyes behold prismatic dreams

giggling through innocent childhood laughter

unadulterated!

Until, the sentinels of society

clip the creative artistry

tainting her beautiful life’s canvas

with strokes of insipid hues.

Peace At Dawn!

Dawn enters the threshold of the ebony sky,

nature’s nimble quill, pens scarlet verses across the yonder,

broody clouds pale under the dazzle of the sun.

As the empyrean canvas welcomes a new day, singing a lyrical ballad,

I surrender my pain to celestial heavens, bask under its benevolent grace.

The reflective solitude of the morn, envelopes me with abundant peace.
