The tech tools I use, love and totally recommend

Welcome to my digital toolbox!

Below you'll find the behind-the-scenes tools I use and love. Everything from the platforms I build on to the stock libraries to find the perfect image.

Of course, this list includes affiliate links [*], which means I may earn a small commission if you decide to try one out (at no extra cost to you, promise!). I only ever recommend what I actually use (myself or with clients), love, and believe in. Plus I’m picky, so you can trust these recs are top-notch. I'm also a designer so you know the interface and user experience of each is going to be a total pleasure to use.

I update this page regularly with my monthly fave, generally a tool I’m newly obsessed with. So pop back in every so often if you’re the curious, tech-loving type. 😉

Featured Favourite

TidyCal*

Calendar bookings without the ongoing costs.

If you’ve ever felt annoyed about paying monthly just to send someone a booking link, I hear you. TidyCal* is a one-time purchase and does the job beautifully. It has a simple setup, pretty interface, and a fraction of the price of some of the big names.

I use it for paid strategy call bookings, free discovery calls, even friendly coffee chats. I've only recently made the switch, but I'm pretty happy with it so far.

Note - I don't usually recommend AppSumo listed tech as the tech companies can come and go pretty fast and you are left looking for yet another tool. But... this one is by the actual creators of AppSumo so I think you are in safer hands.

→ I’ll swap this regularly, so stay tuned for my next fave.

Top picks for hosting and domains.

SiteGround*

My go-to for most WordPress hosting setups. It’s reliable, fast, and has fab support if something ever goes sideways.

Ventra IP*

Aussie-based and dependable. I use them for clients who want to keep their website hosting local, so a great option if you want an Australia company too.

Namecheap*

It's always a good idea to have your domains seperate to your hosting. Namecheap is affordable, and super easy to use. Great if you’re a domain hoarder like me (no judgement).

My MUST HAVES for wordpress websites and course portals

Divi Theme

The visual builder that doesn’t make you want to scream and throw your laptop.

Divi is my go-to theme when clients want creative control without breaking their website. It’s drag-and-drop, fully customisable, and has enough flexibility for you to grow your business, pivot your offers, or rebrand 17 times without needing to start from scratch (we’ve all been there).

I love using Divi because it’s beautiful, intuitive, and bonus, my clients actually enjoy using it. Their tech fear and overwhelm totally disappears!

Plus with the new release of Divi5, it now surpasses many of the 'other builders' in more ways than one.

AccessAlly

Not just a course platform—design your whole offering ecosystem.

AccessAlly is my not-so-secret weapon when it comes to building course portals that actually work, both for the user and for the business behind it. It’s what I use to build all of my high-end membership and course client sites, and it really is a game-changer.

Think: beautiful design, seamless upsells, and intuitive learning experiences all rolled into one. If you're serious about creating a premium student experience and want to ditch the duct-taped-together tech stack, this is it.

I’m also AccessAlly Certified, which means I know how to help you get the absolute best out of it.

Email Marketing

Kit (formerly ConvertKit)

Kit is what I personally use for my own business and email marketing. I moved over from ActiveCampaign and have been really happy with the decision. It integrates beautifully with AccessAlly, which was a key reason I chose it, and it offers deep integrations across other platforms too.

It does sit slightly more on the complex side, but in a good way. If you need robust workflows, automations, and thoughtful segmentation without things feeling unnecessarily heavy, Kit is a solid choice for a growing business.

MailerLite

MailerLite is a fantastic option if you’re just getting started or want to keep things simple and budget-friendly. They’ve restructured their plans, but still offer a very generous free option to help you get up and running.

The interface is clean, intuitive, and easy to navigate. If tech tends to overwhelm you and your main goal is sending newsletters with light segmentation, MailerLite does the job beautifully without adding complexity you don’t need.

Flodesk

Flodesk is ideal if visual design is your top priority. It’s very design-focused, with beautiful pre-built blocks that make creating polished emails quick and easy. If you want emails that look stunning without spending hours styling them, this is where Flodesk shines.

That said, it’s intentionally simple. If you need advanced automations, complex workflows, or deep integrations, Flodesk likely won’t be the right fit. It’s best suited to design-forward businesses with straightforward email needs.

Resources Stock Images

Stock Images

A good stock library can save so much time and elevate your brand instantly, without needing to DIY every graphic or organise a photoshoot every quarter. These are the ones I keep coming back to, both for my own business and when sourcing visuals for client sites and course portals.

Elegant, aligned, and not overused (because we’ve all seen that one woman laughing with a salad far too many times).

Can’t pick a favourite? Do what I do: mix and match. Sometimes I’ll stick with one for a few months, then swap to something new to keep things feeling fresh.

WordPress plugins

Premium plugins to extend your website

CleanTalk Anti-Spam*

Say goodbye to spam bots. CleanTalk is simple, effective, and doesn’t slow your site down. I install it on every client site, non-negotiable.

Iubenda*

Because you do need privacy policies and legal pages. This one auto-updates so you’re not scrambling the next time GDPR or cookie laws change.

Gravity Forms*

The only form plugin I use. Reliable, flexible, and perfect if you want conditional logic, quizzes, onboarding flows, or to just make sure enquiries go where they’re meant to.

WPML*

If you need to run a multilingual site (like I do for my French/English clients), WPML is the gold standard. Reliable, powerful, and integrates well with Divi.

Imagify*

Compresses your images without killing the quality so your site loads fast and still looks fab. I use it on most client sites to keep things speedy behind the scenes.

Software that supports ease, efficiency and alignment

These are the tools I use or recommend that help manage workflows, automate processes, and deliver a seamless experience in your business and website.

Organisation

Clickup

I've tried many project managers and ClickUp is the first one I actually use. I manage almost my whole business in it from email newsletters, to biz planning doc, SOPs and client projects. It's also perfect for managing my team and keeping all my ideas in one visual, actionable space.

Organisation

Airtable

My brain lives here, well kind of hahaha. The applications of Airtable are far bigger than what I actually use it for but I also use and love ClickUp. So what do I need Airtable for? When I need my analytical brain, so think reports and data and what I really love is bringing it life visually with their interfaces.

Organisation

MemTime

Time tracking that's so easy but also privacy conscious. Perfect for service providers who want to know where their hours go without manually logging everything.

It follows you around and then you just log your time once a day. Super easy and convenient.

Organisation

1Password

Because sticky notes with passwords are so 2009, and that xls spreadsheet you have? 100% not secure. A password manager is a MUST HAVE tech tool for your business.

Having a password manager also allows you to set stronger passwords, so win win.

Scheduling

TidyCal

Simple, one-off payment booking tool that looks great and doesn’t break the bank.

I use this for all my calendar bookings without the recurring costs.

Scheduling

Plann

An intuitive visual planner for Instagram (and more). Great for mapping your content, batching posts, and making sure your feed actually reflects your brand without the overwhelm.

I batch up all my IG posts with Plann and love it!

Automation

Make

The tool I use most for automating and connect all my tech to each other. It’s also much more affordable than Zapier, great for streamlining workflows without breaking the budget. And if you use AI in your business, it's come with it out of the box, so perfect if you are getting into workflows with AI agents etc.

Automation

Zapier

I started with Zapier before switching to Make. It's a great backup if Make doesn’t support a specific tool you’re using, which is how I'm still using it. It’s pricier, but super reliable with a wider range of integrations. Plus it's handy for those trickier tech setups.

Content Storage

Hello Audio

Hello Audio hosts all your private podcasts so your clients can learn while walking the dog or folding laundry. Think: your course videos as audio files, but accessible from your students podcast app of choice for easy listening. Great for your ‘time-poor but wisdom-hungry’ people. Plus you can host your public podcast here too.

Content Storage

Vimeo

My go-to for hosting videos that look sleek and professional, without random ads or weird recommended content, (you know what I'm talking about right?). Perfect for course videos, masterclasses, summit videos and content that's behind a paywall.

Other

Plausible Analytics

Privacy-focused analytics that doesn’t sell your client data or overwhelm you with 9,000 metrics. Just the good stuff, straight to the point. Perfect if your business is in the EU or you want to move away from Google Analytics.

Other

Quaderno

For automated tax compliance.

Especially helpful if you’re selling digital products to a global audience and want to automate VAT/GST/MOSS without the headache. Just works.
