I don't really know anyone on LJ who has my LoA ~feels~ so I can't see these being very popular, but that's fine... It made me happy to make them, because it was an excuse to look through photos. I am so excited about the blu-ray release.
We've had a final burst of summer here in the UK, but I notice that many of my friends are thinking fondly of autumn days ahead. So I have made a few icons.
I also thought it might interest you to see what the images I start out with look like... I'm not a very fancy icon maker, but I am learning a few things as I go along. Anyway, below I have two of the base images for these icons.
I wanted to make a work related icon to reflect what I'm currently up to... And since I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted, I made a few. Caffeine and the paraphernalia of an academic working life. Enjoy!
In response to requests from a few of you... ladybird97, I tried with the Tyrion icon, but I am really not very good with text. But here it is anyway. Some gin and tonics, some sleeping people, some rain, some ruins, some cream tea.
Experimenting with colour a bit, influenced by my ongoing enjoyment of plastic lofi cameras and their coloursplashing/vignetting/soft focusing sort of look. I think this has worked to greater and lesser success in this batch. Let me know what you think.
In this batch: lipstick (including men in lipstick - equal opps icon making, yo), icecream, peanut butter products, rain/umbrellas (to celebrate our "lovely" summer...!), telephones.
Been a while since I made any icons! A small, feeble clutch from Game of Thrones 201, a small selection from The Wire with quotations, and a batch of stock icons related to food, Easter and miscellaneous stuff I like.
