Oh goodness, I keep meaning to update more frequently but time seems to be getting away from me. And I also feel bad because I've hardly been commenting on anyone's posts lately either. I've been super busy lately; school started two weeks ago and before that I was finishing up the papers due from my summer study abroad classes and getting ready to move into my apartment for the school year. Because I am an ADULT now and I live in an apartment and pay bills and cook for myself and deal with the fact that we have a cockroach infestation. ಠ_ಠ

The exterminators came about a week and a half ago and it's finally starting to look like the bugs are going away; I'm down to killing about 1-2 per week instead of 5-6 per night. And fortunately it was small roaches and not the big fat ones, otherwise I would have immediately found someplace else to live because NOPE I am not here for that. Even so, it was a pretty rough first week.

But other than that, I've been loving my classes so far.(  more about school and dragon*conCollapse )

So yeah, I think that's about it. Oh, and I have (finally) created a separate journal for my graphics! I always feel guilty posting all my icon posts here instead of personal posts, especially since I'm trying to use this more as a personal journal, and since I'm getting ready to join theiconquest (and would therefore be posting graphics more)(assuming I stay active but shh let's assume I will) I finally created a separate place for my graphics:

I got it all set up today; originally I was just going to transfer over each individual post from here but a) realized that was more work than I was interested in doing and b) realized that even though I was backdating everything it was still showing up on my friendslist in one giant clump of new posts. So I consolidated everything into four posts and just linked over to this journal. And there we go! Hopefully this will encourage me to post more often on here instead of hiding behind icon posts.

So I'm back from my European adventure (well, actually I've been back a week but I've been quite busy unpacking + working on schoolwork + nannying) and hopefully will attempt to resume a more frequent posting schedule. I'm working on a more in-depth post about my time in Paris (which was amazing and I can't wait until I have the opportunity to go back) as well as several entries for my 100 things challenge.

And after a fairly long slump I'm starting to feel inspiration again when it comes to graphics, so once sign ups roll around again I expect I'll be making a lot more icons (and I've also been making tumblr graphics as well). And I'm toying more with the idea of creating a separate graphics journal; maybe that will give me an incentive to make more text posts here!

So I saw a couple people on my flist post about doing this and, well, I am nothing if not a bandwagon jumper so I thought I would try my hand as well.

Basically, I'll just be talking about my fandoms/things relating to my fandoms/things I find interesting (than are tangentially related to fandom). Essentially, it's an excuse for me to talk about things I'm interested in that I don't necessarily get the chance to talk about. So, books, tv shows, movies, actors/actresses, ships, characters, theatre, etc.

Well I've been done with finals for almost a week (and managed an A in linguistics, my hardest class!) but I've hardly felt like I've been on vacation so far. I had to move out of my dorm and back home, and then sort through all my stuff to decide what needed to be unpacked and what could stay in boxes until I move into my apartment next year. And then I also have to start packing for my six-week study abroad trip to Paris since I'm leaving on Wednesday (!!!).

Oh, and then also finish the five million graphic challenges I've signed up for. Speaking of, I'm thinking I might make a comm for my graphics; maybe that will motivate me to write personal posts here more often.

OH AND ALSO I SAW THE AVENGERS TWICE AND I'M IN LOVE. And also rapidly developing a Tom Hiddleston problem (oh gosh he's just so attractive and has a pretty accent pls send help).

Oh and also one of my tumblr friends convinced me to post a comment at this love meme so...yeah. You guys should post yours so I can enthusiastically comment (and also feel less dumb for posting mine).
