Goren’s eyes glared at her empty desk. Eames wasn’t where she was supposed to be, and he didn’t like it. She wasn’t in court; he’d checked. She wasn’t out interviewing suspects or following leads – he’d checked that too. She hadn’t called in, so she wasn’t sick. So where the hell was she? He picked up his phone and dialled. It went straight to voice mail. He didn’t like that, either. He glared at her desk again, then relaxed as he heard the light clicking of her heels. She raised her brow knowingly as she approached, and smirked. “Coffee?” she offered.
