Cape May is a great place to travel to. The Queen Victoria® is a great place to stay in Cape May. Here are specific routes from New York, North Jersey, Baltimore, Washington and from the Cape May-Lewes Ferry and Cape May Terminal are provided. While our hotel isn’t very difficult to get to, we recommend that you take a look at these directions before leaving.

From Philadephia (via Walt Whitman Bridge)

From the bridge take Route 42 to the Atlantic City Expressway. The Expressway intersects the Garden State Parkway at Exit 7 (Parkway Exit 38). Take the Garden State Parkway South until it ends at mile “0”. Go through the traffic light and over the high bridge over the canal and proceed into Cape May on Lafayette St. staying in the right hand lane. Proceed through the traffic light at Madison and you will come to a traffic light at the intersection with Ocean St. Turn left onto Ocean Street and proceed through the traffic light at Washington St. The third intersection on your right is Columbia Ave. The Queen Victoria is to the right. For short term parking (30 minutes) turn right onto Columbia; brick paved loading areas are on your right.

From New York and North Jersey

Take the Garden State Parkway South until it ends at mile “0”. Go through the traffic light and over the high bridge over the canal and proceed into Cape May on Lafayette St. staying in the right hand lane. Proceed through the traffic light at Madison and you will come to a pair of traffic lights, the second of which is the intersection with Ocean St. Turn left onto Ocean Street and proceed through the traffic light at Washington St. The third intersection on your right is Columbia Ave. The Queen Victoria is to the right. For short term parking (30 minutes) turn right onto Columbia; brick paved loading areas are on your right.

From Baltimore & Washington

Take Interstate 95 N. toward Wilmington, DE. Follow signs to theDelaware Memorial Bridge and the NJ Turnpike. Shortly after crossing the bridge take Route 40 E toward Atlantic City. Take Rt 55 S from Malaga to Rt 47 S to Rio Grande. Take the Garden State Parkway South until it ends at mile “0”. Go through the traffic light and over the high bridge over the canal and proceed into Cape May on Lafayette St. staying in the right hand lane. Proceed through the traffic light at Madison and you will come to a pair of traffic lights, the second of which is the intersection withOcean St. Turn left onto Ocean Street and proceed through the traffic light at Washington St. The third intersection on your right is Columbia Ave. The Queen Victoria is to the right. For short term parking (30 minutes) turn right onto Columbia; brick paved loading areas are on your right.

From Washington and Points South

Consider the Cape May-Lewes Ferry. It may not save any time, but for 75 minutes of your trip you are not driving, and it’s a nice boat ride. You can make reservations (at least 24 hrs in advance) by calling 1-800-64-FERRY. CapeMayLewesFerry.com

From the Cape May-Lewes Ferry Cape May Terminal

When you exit the ferry terminal you will be on U.S. Route 9 North. Continue on Route 9 for 1.9 miles to the third stop light which is Seashore Road, also known as Cape May County 626. (Don’t count the left-hand turn-only signal into the Acme shopping center as a stoplight.)

Turn right onto Seashore Road and watch your speed as it is monitored by the local authorities and changes as you come to the residential area. The road changes names to Broadway as you come into town. Continue on Seashore Road/Broadway for a total of 2.7 miles until the road ends at Beach Avenue. Turn left onto Beach Avenue, Cape May County Road 604. Continue on Beach Avenue for 0.6 miles to Ocean Street. The 6-story Marquis de Lafayette motel will be just before Ocean Street. Turn left onto Ocean Street and continue one block to Columbia Avenue.
