Built to Track the Regulation

Built to Track the Regulation — Not Just the Last Version of It

Form PF has changed more in the past three years than in its first decade. The 2024 amendments pushed compliance dates from March 2025 to October 2026 across multiple extensions. On April 20, 2026, the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) jointly proposed a partial rollback of those same amendments — raising the filing threshold from $150M to $1B in Private Fund Assets Under Management (AUM), raising the large-hedge-fund-adviser threshold from $1.5B to $10B, and eliminating quarterly event reporting for private equity Fund Advisors .

That proposal is open for comment until late June 2026, and carries a minimum one-year transition period if adopted.

Nothing changes for your current filing obligations today.

What it does mean: the compliance landscape for private fund advisors is moving in both directions at once, and a platform that's wired around one fixed version of the form is a liability the moment the rule changes again. We built the Form PF Platform around the form's underlying data model, not a frozen snapshot of a single year's questions — so when sections are added, removed, or thresholds shift, updating the platform is a configuration change, not a rebuild.

File on Time – Every Time

Automated workflows with built-in
contributor-approver chains and email-triggered notifications that ensure filings are prepared, validated, and XML – ready well ahead of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) deadlines.

Accuracy You Can Defend

100% extraction accuracy from structured inputs, with computation logs showing exactly how every value was calculated, and a full change history of every edit made by every user.

From Weeks to Hours

What consumed your compliance team for weeks each quarter now runs in hours — with Admin, Contributor, and Approver roles managing a structured upload-to-XML workflow.

Eliminating fragmented data assembly for Form PF

Is your team still assembling Form PF data from spreadsheets, fund administrators, and portfolio systems — then reconciling it all manually?

The Platform ingests fund data from structured Excel inputs with 100% extraction accuracy — no OCR guesswork, no parsing errors. Fund-level details, including investor classifications, leverage metrics, counterparty exposures, and strategy data are automatically mapped to the correct
Form PF sections and questions. Upload your files, verify the mapping on screen, and move to validation — no more copying between spreadsheets or reconciling across sources.

Automated validation and computation logs for Form PF

Are you confident that your Form PF calculations will survive SEC scrutiny — especially with the amended reporting requirements taking effect?

Every computed value — regulatory Asset Under Management (AUM), gross and net asset values, leverage ratios, internal rate of return (IRR), investor concentration — comes with a computation log showing exactly how it was derived from your inputs. Users can edit any extracted field before submission, with a full change history tracking who modified what and when. The Platform applies Section 1B requirements for private equity and other fund types, and Section 1C for hedge funds, with the correct questions and aggregation rules applied automatically. The final output is SEC-compliant XML built to the Investment Adviser Registration Depository (IARD) schema, ready for upload to the SEC portal.

Scalable multi-fund filing with role-based approval workflow

Managing multiple private funds with different filing sections and approval chains?

Whether you manage 3 funds or 30, across hedge, private equity, and credit strategies, the Platform handles the complexity. Three distinct user roles — Admin, Contributor, Approver — enforce a structured workflow with email-triggered approval notifications. The system supports files up to 60MB with no limit on file count, and two-factor authentication — built in-house, with no third-party dependency — secures every login.

Built Precisely Around Sections 1B and 1C

The Form PF Platform is purpose-built for Section 1B (private equity and other private fund types) and Section 1C (hedge funds) — the sections every Form PF filer completes. It is not a general-purpose compliance suite with Form PF bolted on; it's built around this form's specific data model, validation rules, and XML schema.

Currently In Scope

  • Section 1B and 1C preparation, calculation, and validation
  • Structured Excel data ingestion
  • SEC-compliant XML generation to the IARD schema

Not Currently In Scope

  • Sections 2, 4, 5, and 6 (large hedge fund and large private equity fund adviser supplemental reporting)
  • Unstructured document ingestion (the Platform reads structured spreadsheet inputs, not PDFs or scanned filings)
  • Direct machine-to-machine submission to the SEC portal — generated XML is uploaded by your team through Financial Industry Regulatory Authority’ (FINRA's) Private Fund Reporting Depository (PFRD) system

If your filing obligations extend into the large-adviser sections, talk to us about your specific requirements — we can scope what's needed.

Why Quantrium

Purpose-Built for Form PF

Engineered from the ground up around the
Form PF data model — its sections, questions, validation rules, and XML submission schema. Every calculation follows SEC instructions precisely, and is not a bolted-on module from a general compliance platform.

Audit-Ready from Every Angle

Computation logs show how each value was calculated. Change history tracks every edit by user and timestamp. When the SEC examiner asks how you arrived at a number, you have a documented, defensible answer — not a spreadsheet with a broken formula.

Built for What's Coming

The SEC has extended the Form PF amendment deadline to October 1, 2026, and the expanded reporting is awaited. This Platform already incorporates the amended schema, with a roadmap that includes an internal formula editor to accept raw data inputs directly reducing your preparation effort.

Automate Your Form PF Filing Process

Partner with Quantrium to eliminate the manual burden of Form PF preparation, calculation, and validation — and redirect your compliance team's effort toward strategic initiatives.
