Pulse Secure Setup Client Activex Control is a signed browser component from Pulse Secure, LLC that streamlines the web-based installation and update of Pulse Secure client software on Windows. Used primarily with Internet Explorer to access Pulse Connect Secure (PCS) gateways, it detects required components—such as the Pulse Secure Desktop Client and endpoint compliance modules (often referred to as Host Checker)—then securely downloads, installs, and launches them from the VPN gateway.
Designed for enterprise environments, the control manages version checks, performs upgrades, and can invoke system-level installers to ensure the VPN and related services are properly configured. Because it operates within the browser, it enables users to sign in to a PCS portal and automatically provision what they need for secure remote access without a separate manual installation. While widely deployed for legacy, Internet Explorer–based workflows, many organizations now use the standalone Pulse Secure client (now part of Ivanti) or alternative, browser-independent methods for modern platforms.
Pulse Secure Setup Client Activex Control is developed by Pulse Secure, LLC and is used by 147 users of Software Informer. The most popular version of this product among our users is 3.1.
