Protec Installations Group started in 1986 with a small handful of electricians. Today we have over 100 full time employees. There have been a few changes over the last 30 years, and Protec is now owned by four employees!
In 1985 during the pre Expo ’86 construction boom, a partnership, working out of a small North Richmond office with a handful of electricians ventured into the commercial electrical industry. After a few small projects Protec Installations Group was born.
Protec Installations Group continues to grow and lead the way in making British Columbia a brighter place to live.

Early on in our company’s operations, Protec began exploring the larger more challenging facets of the industry, such as design build projects and residential high rise towers.

Before long Protec became one of the leading electrical contractors in the lower mainland with projects such as YVR’s International East & West Chevrons, The Jim Pattison Pavilion, Vancouver General Hospital and numerous retail outlets such as Home Depot, Save-On-Foods & Safeway.
