Repair Policy & Warranty – ProFix Cell Phone Repair

1. Repair Risks

  • Electronic repairs are never 100% predictable. Some devices may be beyond repair or may stop functioning during the repair process.

  • Circuit board components deteriorate over time, especially on liquid-damaged devices, and may fail unexpectedly.

  • Devices with glued-on screens (such as iPads) require prying to access components. Although our team is highly experienced, there is always a minimal risk of screen breakage.

  • On Apple devices, Touch ID or Face ID may fail during repairs due to device condition. This is uncommon but possible.


2. Estimates

  • All repair estimates are provided based on visible issues. Hidden problems may only become clear once repair work begins.

  • Estimates may change during service. In such cases, we will inform you and seek your approval before continuing.

  • Original estimates remain valid only within the scope of the initially identified issue.


3. Limited Warranty

  • We provide a 30-day limited warranty on all repairs.

  • If the original issue recurs within 30 days, we will perform the service again at no additional cost.

  • Warranty applies only to the parts and services listed in the original work order.


4. Warranty Exclusions

Warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by drops, impacts, water, or liquid after repair.

  • Services performed with parts not purchased from ProFix Cell Phone Repair.

  • Software-related issues (e.g., OS installation, virus removal).

  • New or unrelated issues arising after the original repair.

  • Any modifications or third-party repairs done within the 30-day period.


5. Warranty Repairs

  • Devices that malfunction within 30 days will be rechecked and repaired again free of charge (if related to the original service).

  • Refunds are issued only if we are unable to repair the device after re-attempts. In such cases, a repair attempt fee and/or shipping cost may be deducted.


6. Repair & Estimate Time

  • Most repairs are completed quickly; however, timing depends on parts availability and issue complexity.

  • Devices are repaired in the order they are received.


7. Replacement Parts Procedure

  • If new parts are required, we will inform you before ordering.

  • You will be given details of the part, cost, and estimated arrival time.


8. Repair Attempt Fee

  • For motherboard repairs, data recovery, or devices with prior repair attempts, a repair attempt fee of $40–$100 may apply if the repair is unsuccessful.


9. Shipping Policy

  • Mail-in repair devices are shipped based on the instructions you provide.

  • Insurance is optional and must be requested by the customer. Without insurance, ProFix Cell Phone Repair is not liable for shipping damages.


10. Data & Privacy

  • Customers are responsible for backing up their data before repair.

  • While we take precautions, we are not responsible for data loss during service.


11. Pickup Time & Storage

  • Devices must be collected within 60 days of repair completion notice.

  • After 60 days, unclaimed devices will be considered abandoned. We reserve the right to sell them to recover service costs or recycle them if non-functional.
