This account provides free working plugin examples for anybody who wants to get started in plugin development. This is part of the comprehensive WordPress 5 manual in German language, scheduled for the fourth quarter 2018.

WordPress Origin Story

That was probably around 2010. I was looking for a more cost effective and easies maintenance CMS solution compared to Interwoven’s TeamSite. Something that worked out of the box for a microsite. WP was easy to install and well received upon business users.
