My involvement with WordPress evolved naturally from my early expertise in backend and CMS development. My technical career began after completing my Master of Computer Application (MCA) in 2010, with a strong foundation in PHP and MVC systems, initially working with other CMS platforms like Joomla.

I became interested in WordPress through observing its rapidly growing adoption and its exceptionally supportive community. As I began exploring it, I quickly realized its potential for rapid development and flexible implementation.

This exploration led me to transition into a dedicated WordPress Sr. Developer role. One of my proudest early accomplishments was architecting and implementing a comprehensive custom solution for high-profile sites like The Nation.

In that role, I demonstrated significant productivity by creating four core custom plugins that were the heart of the project. This included developing a flexible content framework (akin to ACF Flexible Content) and integrating critical third-party business functionalities:

* Integrating the print and digital subscription vendor Palm Coast Data. * Implementing advertisement services using DFP. * Handling email subscriptions via SailThru. * Integrating donation processing through Black baud/Raisers Edge.

This foundational work, which also involved content migration from Drupal, allowed me to prove my ability to handle complex requirements and high-stakes integrations. This success directly led to my promotion to Technical Lead – WordPress at Diaspark, formalizing my long-term commitment to leading and architecting solutions within the WordPress ecosystem.
