I was diagnosed with ALS in July 2021. I am no longer able to walk, type, or speak anymore, but I can type and design with my eyes. I am grateful to my family, friends, and faith for helping me through this. I share our story to help and encourage others.

WordPress Origin Story

Data on Wheels is a fun story. About fifteen years ago, I created a blog while working at a transportation company. I work with data and analytics on the Microsoft platform.  I started writing to document what I didn’t want to forget. It helped propel my career. The blog was created on WordPress.com – https://dataonwheels.wordpress.com.
Fast forward to my diagnosis and it works as well. I have handed the technology blog off to my oldest daughter, Kristyna, who’s also a data professional. I created the ALS website using the same domain in September as a way to centralize access to all the ways we share our story. It is a great way for me to stay engaged and I am having fun. This new site is built on a hosted WordPress site which has been quite a learning experience.
