About Profhacks 2025
Rowan IEEE Student Branch's annual hackathon is back! We are very excited to have you attend our 10th installment of this fantastic event. Profhacks 2025 will feature a lively Casino Royale theme, free food, 24 hours of hacking, and as always, lots of great prizes!
Time & Location
Rowan University's Engineering Hall (401 North Campus Drive, Glassboro NJ 08028)
Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 10:00 am (Opening Ceremony) - Sunday, March 30, 2025 at 1:00 pm (Closing Ceremony)
Eligibility
We welcome participants from any university or high school level. Participants need to be registered through the Google Form before the deadline to compete. However, all minors (under 18 years old) need to have parental permission to attend. Parent/guardians will need to sign a form at reception in the day of the event. Minors attending Profhacks unaccompanied by a parent/guardian are required to stay under direct supervision of any appropriately trained Profhacks organizer or volunteer (e.g. leaving the venue unaccompanied is prohibited). Minors are also required to wear a wristband.
Discord
To make the most of your Profhacks experience, it is greatly recommended that you join the Profhacks Discord. This is where all major announcements and updates will be available. Teams will have access to their own channels for coordination and collaboration, as well as a way to quickly call over any event organizer. Teambuilding channels are also available for hackers looking to join others and collaborate.
Requirements
What to Build
Our project themes are very open-ended. The Casino Royale theme is just for decoration, your build does not need to fit the Casino theme. We require projects on their technical complexity, originality, polish, and usefulness. (read more on the judging criteria section)
