Founder & Editor-in-Chief
Anaida oversees the editorial direction and brand identity of Pretty & Smart Co. With a background in communications and a deep commitment to thoughtful content, she brings a voice of purpose and polish to the platform. A proud Montrealer now based in Canada’s capital, Ottawa, she is passionate about crafting a publication that feels both elevated and personal. Anaida holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and is the author of Strong Pillars: Building an Unshakable Foundation (coming soon). Her entrepreneurial journey in launching the magazine reflects her love for business, storytelling, and the art of living, whether that means a perfect cappuccino, a well-curated interior, or a walk through beautiful architecture
Karly Benson
Editorial Director
Karly leads our editorial operations, overseeing story development, contributor coordination, and content flow. With a sharp eye for narrative and nuance, she ensures every piece reflects our values of elegance, substance, and growth. A Canadian living in London, U.K., she brings an international lens to her work. A professional dancer and published writer, Karly holds a BFA in Performance Dance with distinction and a minor in English from Toronto Metropolitan University. This academic and artistic pairing fuels her unique storytelling approach.
