Present Value Financial Services® LLC is a Registered Investment Advisor in the Commonwealth of Virginia, but the firm can provide advisory services to up to five clients in each of the other 49 states without the need to register in those states. Consultations are provided over the telephone or via virtual meetings. Bryan Lohr is the founder and sole owner of the firm.

Bryan worked for a federal government contractor for 28 years as an applications programmer and senior systems analyst for studies related to health and education. After raising four children in Loudoun County, VA, Bryan “retired” in 2015 to pursue a second career as a Financial Advisor. He continued his education and passed the Certified Financial Planner® professional certification exam in July 2017 and the Series 65 (Uniform Investment Advisor Law Examination) in January 2018.
While researching advisory firms for employment, Bryan became disenchanted with the business models used by the majority of advisory firms: requirements to bring all assets “in-house,” sales of proprietary or firm-affiliated investment products, sales commissions, and compensation based on a percent of Assets Under Management (AUM). Bryan also realized that there is a lack of access to cost-effective financial services and advice for lower income and/or lower net worth individuals, so he founded Present Value Financial Services® LLC to meet this need. He recognizes that employment and families are time-consuming responsibilities, so he is available, by appointment, to meet during days, evenings, and weekends.
Bryan has been a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) since 2016, the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP) since 2022, and he is a participant in the IRS’s Annual Filing Season Program by meeting specific annual continuing education requirements and adhering to the IRS’s ethical regulations defined in Circular 230.
