A prospect I got to see on the Prep Hoops Circuit a couple weekends ago, Frey is an elite shooter on the wing. Able to relocate himself off the ball and knock down tough shots, Frey doesn’t need much time or space to fire away from long distance. The lefty also did a nice job of moving without the ball to force the defense to pay close attention to tracking him and scored on a couple cuts to the rim in the last game I caught. Frey’s ability to provide valuable without dribbling the air out of the ball will be crucial as he adjusts to the college level where almost every freshman enters the rotation as a role player.

Knocking down some clutch shots from the perimeter, the lefty wing forward doesn’t care if you have a hand in his face when he goes up. With good positional size, Frey can shoot over smaller defenders and his quick release means he doesn’t need much time or space. His teammates did a nice job of finding him when he was open, especially in transition, and Frey rewarded them with assists. A new name to add to our 2027 rankings during the next update, Frey is a solid small college recruiting target for regional programs to check out if they want a 6’4 wing forward shooter.
