What is precut paint protection film?
What is precut paint protection film?
Precut paint protection film is a clear protective polyurethane film that is computer-cut to match specific vehicle panels. These kits are designed for accurate fitment and allow installers or DIY customers to install paint protection film without cutting directly on the vehicle.
The film protects painted surfaces from rock chips, road debris, bug acids, and minor scratches while remaining nearly invisible once installed.
Paint protection film can be safely removed in the future without harming the factory paint, and with proper care it can last for many years.
Are PPF kits difficult to install?
Are PPF kits difficult to install?
Precut paint protection film kits are designed to make installation easier by providing pieces that are already cut to match your vehicle. This eliminates the need to cut film on the car and helps reduce installation errors.
Although some experience and patience are helpful, many DIY customers are able to achieve great results by carefully following installation instructions.
Which paint protection film should I choose?
Which paint protection film should I choose?
The best paint protection film for your vehicle depends on your priorities, such as protection level, gloss finish, hydrophobic performance, and budget. Most modern paint protection films provide strong protection against rock chips, scratches, and road debris, but different films offer unique features.
For example:
• Standard 8 Mil films offer excellent protection and are a great option for most daily drivers.
• 10 Mil films provide thicker material for increased protection against road debris and highway driving.
• Hydrophobic films repel water, dirt, and contaminants, making the vehicle easier to clean.
• Matte or satin films protect the paint while maintaining or creating a matte appearance.
Most premium paint protection films also include self-healing technology, which allows minor scratches or swirl marks to disappear with heat.
If you are unsure which film is right for your vehicle, feel free to contact us and we will be happy to help you choose the best option based on your vehicle, driving conditions, and protection needs.
Are installation tools included?
Are installation tools included?
Installation tools are not included with our precut paint protection film kits. Most professional installers and DIY customers already have the tools needed for installation.
If you need the required tools, they can be purchased separately from our store or sourced locally.
We also provide online installation instructions and video tutorials to help guide you through the installation process.
The basic tools typically required for installation include:
• Spray bottles for slip and tack solutions
• A rubber squeegee
• A precision knife or blade
• Microfiber towels
These tools can easily be purchased separately if needed.
I have additional questions about installing my product
Please send us a message, we will be happy to answer all your questions.
If I buy a kit and damage a piece during installation, can I reorder that panel?
Yes. Individual panels from a kit can be repurchased if a piece is damaged or needs to be replaced, so you do not need to purchase the entire kit again.
Do I need to upload vehicle images when making a purchase?
Yes, you can attach them directly to your order, or email them to us after the order is completed using the contact form or by replying to the order confirmation email or invoice that was sent to you.
We recommend uploading or emailing photos when purchasing a paint protection film kit. This helps ensure you receive the correct kit for your vehicle’s exact trim level.
After placing your order, please reply to your order confirmation email with the images to help speed up order verification and processing. If you uploaded photos during checkout, please review your invoice to confirm they were successfully attached.
If photos were not included, order processing may be delayed until we receive them, as we need to verify the correct cuts required for your specific vehicle.
I can’t find my vehicle on your website that offers cuts for my car.
If you cannot find your vehicle or trim level listed on our website, please contact us using the contact form. We may still have the pattern available or be able to source the correct precut paint protection film kit for your vehicle.
Is shipping insurance required at checkout?
Shipping insurance is not required, but it is highly recommended. If insurance is not purchased, we cannot cover or file claims for any damage that may occur during transit. In that situation, the customer would need to contact the shipping carrier directly to try to resolve the issue.
When insurance is purchased, it protects your order if the package is damaged during shipping. To file a claim, we will need clear photos and videos of the damaged packaging and material, which must be emailed to us so we can submit the claim with the carrier.
Please note that the material must not be installed or used in any way if a claim is to be filed, as the shipping carrier may require the product to remain in its original condition for inspection.
In some cases, the insurance company may only approve replacement of the damaged pieces or patterns rather than the entire kit.
Detailed photos of the damage are required in order to proceed with any insurance claim.
Can I reuse the material once it has been applied?
No. Paint protection film is a single-use material and cannot be reused once it has been applied.
Is there a return policy for your products?
Please refer to our Return & Refund Policy for full details:
https://precutppf.store/returnsrefunds/
Is there a warranty on the paint protection film?
Our paint protection films carry a 5–10 year warranty depending on the film selected. The warranty becomes active once the product has been properly installed.
The warranty covers manufacturing defects such as cracking, peeling, and discoloration of the film.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper installation, road debris, vandalism, misuse, or normal wear and tear.
Are you able to customize or modify the precut kits for me?
Yes, we can customize the precut kit for an additional fee since this is a specialized service. We can extend edges based on your request. Manufacturer kits already include prewrapped edges in certain areas.
If you need further modifications such as changing or adding custom wrap areas, our kit designer can update the template to match your specifications. Pricing depends on the complexity and size of the kit.
Please email us with your request for more information and a quote.
Are there any additional discounts available?
We are a wholesale company, and the prices listed online are already discounted to our current best rates. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any additional discounts.
Please note that film manufacturers adjust their pricing several times throughout the year, often with very little notice. Because of this, we can only honor pricing at the time of purchase. If a product is priced differently the following day, we are unable to adjust or match the previous price due to these manufacturer increases.
How the Material Is Cut, Unpacked, and Shipped
The material is cut on large sheets to help keep costs lower for the customer. It is typically laid out on 60″ or 30″ wide sheets, and you will receive a confirmation showing how everything is arranged when your order is processed.
Your order will be rolled and shipped in a protective core tube to prevent damage during transit.
To separate the pieces, simply unroll the material on a clean table or floor and use scissors to cut out each individual piece before installation. For easier handling, you can also use foldable tables, like picnic tables, to lay everything out while working.
