President's Message

President Henry Wolfe

PPC Members,

We recently had the opportunity to attend a meeting in Tucson, and I will admit—it didn’t take long to appreciate the change of scenery. Great weather aside, what stood out most was the quality of the people and the conversations. From early‑morning coffee discussions to hallway conversations between sessions, it was one of those meetings where we walked away with both practical takeaways and renewed motivation.

Every speaker brought something valuable to the table, but the Keynote Address by John “Gucci” Foley was a standout. Not only was he an outstanding speaker, but he was also genuinely approachable. We had the chance to speak with him one‑on‑one, and those informal conversations often end up being just as impactful as what’s shared from the stage. His message was a powerful reminder that leadership isn’t about titles—it’s about showing up, staying connected, and pushing yourself, even when it’s uncomfortable.

Moments like that reinforce why PPC meetings matter. They’re not just about presentations or agendas—they’re about learning from each other, building relationships, and occasionally leaving a session thinking, “Alright… we probably should step it up a notch when we get back”. That’s a good thing. We were encouraged by the strong turnout, with just over 200 members in attendance, including 39 new members—an impressive showing and a clear reflection of the positive momentum within PPC. To our new members, thank you for joining the PPC community; we are pleased to welcome you and look forward to connecting and growing together.

Looking ahead, our committees are hard at work keeping that momentum going—securing strong speakers, relevant technical content, and meaningful opportunities to connect. We encourage everyone to stay engaged and take advantage of what PPC offers. The more you put into it, the more you’ll get out of it.

I also want to take a moment to recognize our Board of Directors, the TEC, LRP, and Communications Committees, along with Brenda. The time and effort you put in behind the scenes are what make all this possible and keep things running smoothly. Your commitment does not go unnoticed—thank you.

Thank you for being a part of PPC. We look forward to seeing all of you at upcoming events in Coeur d’Alene, ID from August 30 through September 1, continuing the conversations, and building on what makes this organization special.
