How the Remote Monitoring Gateway Works

Remote Monitoring
  • Our PS-Cloud cloud based software is available to you wherever you have internet service.
  • PS-Cloud connects to a G2000 Remote Gateway via the cellular phone network and remains connected 24/7.
  • The G2000 is near your PowerSight analyzer(s), as they are typically locked in a powered-on electrical panel. The G2000 maintains Bluetooth communications with your analyzers 24/7.
  • This end-to-end 24/7 connection moves data and control between PS-Cloud and your PowerSight. It is available for you whenever you log in.

Operational Specifications:

Cellular

The G2000 automatically selects the best available carrier at power-up, so you’re never locked to a single network. It operates on a dedicated cellular channel with higher reliability than voice channels in weak-signal areas. LED indicators show connection status to both the cellular network and our PS-Cloud Software.

Bluetooth

Mount the G2000 within 10 feet of your PowerSight meter. LEDs indicate active connections and data transfer.

PowerSight Analyzer Connection

A single G2000 supports up to 10 analyzers, though distance constraints often reduce this in practice.

Mounting

The G2000 typically sits on top of the electrical panel housing its paired analyzer. Its low, wide profile (7.62″L x 4.61″W x 4.30″H including mounting flanges) resists tipping and impact. It can also be screwed to walls or poles, or attached to steel cabinets with magnetic strips.

Power

The G2000 requires 12VDC, supplied by the included 120VAC wall charger. An extension cord may be needed to reach the installation site. Built-in battery backup bridges outages of up to 4 hours.
