The Center for Policing Equity (CPE) supported the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Palmdale station by providing rigorous data analysis and research that helped translate the Antelope Valley Settlement Agreement requirements into clear, evidence-based local safety decisions, particularly in the areas of force and stops. Working with CPE reinforced the importance of transparency and accountability, ensuring our practices could be openly evaluated and continuously improved. Ultimately, this collaboration strengthened our ability to better serve residents by aligning enforcement, community engagement, and oversight with the shared goal of safer, more trusted policing.
