Team

Richard Stephens
Founder & Editor

Richard established The Poland Observer to provide business news, information and context about Poland to an international investor audience, as well as promoting the country as a business destination & Polish business abroad.

He was previously the founder & editor of Poland Today and, prior to that, editor of Eurobuild CEE magazine, where he established the conference department and created the Eurobuild Awards Gala in 2010.

Throughout his career, Richard has organised dozens of international conferences and events, including 10+ trips of international journalists to Poland & CEE countries for The Poland Observer, Poland Today and UEFA (ahead of EURO 2012 in Poland & Ukraine).

Richard is English and graduated with a BA in Theology & Religious Studies from Bristol University. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, watching sports and walking with his dog, Ozzy.

Patrycja Rabińska
Strategy Consultant

Patrycja is a strategic consultant specialising in communication and business development who provides strategic advice for The Poland Observer.

With over 20 years of experience in the property and construction sectors, she has advised investors, facilitated property sales, recruited top industry specialists, and – most importantly – developed and executed communication strategies for both Polish and international companies. Patrycja has a degree in Political Science and has completed postgraduate studies in Public Relations and Professional Coaching at Koźmiński University. She has also earned a postgraduate qualification in Modern Business Management Methods from the Warsaw School of Economics.

Arslan Suleymanov
Business Development Consultant

Arslan is an Uzbekistani-born business development specialist and writer currently based in Vienna, Austria. He joined The Poland Observer in 2021 while still a student at Collegium Civitas University in Warsaw.

He has over four years of experience in research, project management, marketing and consultancy. Previously, Arslan edited a large-scale healthcare industry journal in the United States and wrote hundreds of materials across various topics, including energy, tech, real estate, and geopolitics.

Arslan is an aspiring political scientist currently pursuing his Master’s degree at Central European University in Vienna. He is a recipient of numerous scholarships and awards and a proud alumnus of the European Academy of Diplomacy. In his free time, Arslan enjoys hiking and coming to terms with learning German and Polish.

Dawid Stephens
Website Manager & Writer

Dawid develops, manages and writes content for The Poland Observer website. Of British & Polish origin, he has lived in Poland and the UK. After leaving school in Poland, Dawid worked in France, Australia and London before getting a degree in International Business & Business Administration from Birkbeck, University of London.

From 2021 – 2023, he worked as a Junior Analyst and Administrator for JLL Poland, managing projects and analyzing real estate data for global clients such as Amazon and Barclays.

Dawid has a boat’s pilot license, and in 2023, he crossed the Atlantic from Europe to South America on a sailing yacht. In 2024, he spent 6 weeks as a volunteer for ‘On the Ground International’, Pamplona, Colombia, and will return there for a 6-month stint as a supervisor in 2025. In his spare time, he enjoys running – in 2023, he ran The Warsaw Marathon.

Zofia Moritz
The CEE Summit Manager

Zofia is a bilingual writer, English-language editor, and project manager with a diverse background spanning publishing, PR, and urban studies. Educated in England but proudly Polish, she holds a BA in English and Philosophy from the University of Nottingham and an MA in Urban Studies from the University of Warsaw.

She joined The Poland Observer (and previously Poland Today) during university and has been involved ever since, helping shape its strategy and online presence promoting Poland as an international brand, as well as working on The CEE Summit. Beyond The Poland Observer, she has worked extensively in PR and marketing, particularly in the energy and technology sectors, crafting communication strategies and managing media relations. She now works in academic publishing.

Outside of work, Zofia is an avid sailor and outdoor enthusiast. A former member of Poland’s national sailing team, she spent over a decade competing professionally. When she’s not replying to emails, she can usually be found skiing or on the water.
