Fighting poverty and enriching lives

Our mission at Point North is simple: make today better and tomorrow brighter for our communities

With the invaluable support of our donors, we work with local communities to fight poverty and enrich lives for people across County Durham, the Tees Valley and the wider North East.

We make it simple for you to have a positive impact in the communities you care about and support causes that matter to you.

Whether you run a community group and want to apply for a grant or if you want to support local people with a personal or business donation, we’re here.

Give hope this winter

This winter, we’re asking people across County Durham, Tees Valley and the wider North East to come together for Glimmers of Hope, supporting local projects that bring warmth, connection and opportunity to others people across County Durham and the Tees Valley, such as:

  • foodbanks and warm, nutritious meals

  • welcome spaces offering advice and company

  • opportunities for children and young people to learn, play and grow

  • support and training for people to get into work or develop their skills.

If you choose to give this winter, you’ll be helping light up lives across County Durham and the Tees Valley.
