Technology that scales.
Our quantum computers use neutral atoms as qubits, the most promising path to fault-tolerant systems. Trapped in optical lattices, these identical atoms remain well-isolated, ensuring long coherence times and high-fidelity operations at scale – ideal properties for building large, reliable quantum systems.
More about our technologyFrom hardware to applications.
We develop full stack quantum solutions from the ground up and top down: from highly scalable, high-quality hardware to tailored algorithms and quantum software. This co-design approach allows us to turn real-world use cases into quantum applications faster—whether as on-premise systems, cloud-based computing, or tightly integrated HPC solutions.

Advancing quantum, together: Meet planqc.
Founded in 2022 by quantum physicists Glätzle, Blatt, and Zeiher, planqc spun off from the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics as Munich Quantum Valley's first startup. Our Garching headquarters, opened in 2024, houses both our quantum hardware production and software development.
