Renato is a Pittsburg State University graduate with a degree in Graphic Communications and has been in the sign industry for over eight years. He has a strong passion for running, endurance sports, and community fitness. In addition to owning Marathon Graphics, Renato serves as race director for the Pittsburg Turkey Trot and the Coal Miners Century Ride, and he leads the Pittsburg Running Collective—bringing people together through movement and connection. At Marathon Graphics, his goal is to deliver durable, high-quality wraps and signage with the same focus and consistency he brings to marathon training.

Shannon Brutchin is a County Manager for Security 1st Title, overseeing both their Pittsburg and Columbus locations. With 19 years of experience in the title industry, Shannon excels in both property research and closings. She is dedicated to providing their clients with the best possible experience through personalized service. Beyond her role at Security 1st Title, Shannon is actively involved in the community as a Chamber Ambassador, a member of the Pittsburg Noon Rotary Club and volunteering throughout the community. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her children and traveling as much as possible.

PSU – Kelce College of Business

A University Professor at Pittsburg State University’s Kelce College of Business. Dr. Johnson teaches classes in Human Resource Development and Supervision and Leadership. Known as Pittsburg State University’s “Memory Guy”, he learns and remembers the names of every student in his classes the very first night of class. Dr. Johnson is a frequent presenter at state, national, and international conferences. He has been named Outstanding Teaching Faculty at PSU three times and was named the National Outstanding Career and Technical Educator in 2000. Dr. Johnson was awarded the Toastmasters International organization’s highest honor as Distinguished Toastmaster in August 2014. Dr. Johnson has been a champion for the Chamber’s Leadership programs for more than a decade, helping create the Crawford County Youth Leadership Program and the Leadership High Program that have reached the lives of more than 12,000 students since 2003. He was recognized as the Chamber Volunteer of the Year in 2012 and received the Chamber’s Spirit of Pittsburg award in 2022. In addition to his duties as a professor, Dr. Johnson serves as a training consultant with the Theatrical, Stage and Motion Picture Employees, as well as the Carpenters, The Painters and Allied Trades, The Plumbers and Pipefitters, and The Utility Workers all across the U.S. and Canada. In March 2025, he published his second book “Training Design Simplified: Breaking Tradition” available on Amazon. He resides in Pittsburg with his wife Jacki.

In January 2024, Tree opened her own Edward Jones branch in the Northgate shopping area on 29th Street, marking a major milestone in her career and reinforcing her dedication to serving the Pittsburg community. Beyond her work in finance, Tree is passionate about giving back. As an active leader of several boards and civic organizations, Tree strives to create opportunities for connection, growth, and service. When she’s not helping clients or helping plan community events, Tree enjoys finding a bargain, referring basketball,  track and field, gardening, and spending time with her fur baby Kona. Brian Lorimer has over 20 years finance experience with time at Abbey Title Company, Arvest Bank and now Community National Bank.  He enjoys working hand in hand with borrowers to achieve their financial goals and make their lives better.  Brian is a Missouri Southern grad with a BSBA in Economics and Finance.  He earned his MBA from William Woods University.  Brian loves giving back to his community having chaired the United Way Campaign, Past president of the Pittsburg Sunrise Rotary and the Children’s Advocacy Center as well as an Ambassador for the Pittsburg Area Chamber of Commerce.  He has been honored to receive the award of Volunteer of the year for both United Way and Pittsburg Area Chamber of Commerce.  Brian has been married to his beautiful wife Jamie for over 20 years, has four amazing children and 5 grandchildren.  In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family; playing, officiating and coaching volleyball; or remodeling their loft home in downtown Galena, KS.

Born and raised in Pittsburg Kansas, Katie earned her Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education in the area of Family and Consumers Sciences as well as her Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction at Pittsburg State University. OAGAAG, she went on to teach full time as an instructor in the Family and Consumer Sciences Department at PSU. A move to Kansas City, several career changes, and 4 kids later (Molly, Annie, Max, and Kit), Katie and her husband Justin found themselves back in Pittsburg where Katie currently works as a Producer for Ryan-Dittmann Insurance; specializing in Commercial & Personal lines Property & Casualty Insurance.  She is also employed as an adjunct Instructor in the Kelce College of Business at Pittsburg State University.  Katie attributes her Career shift to her passion for Consumerism; she is dedicated to providing excellent service to businesses that drive the local economy.  Ryan-Dittmann Insurance is an Acrisure Agency Partner and a member of Kansas Association of Insurance Agents (KAIA).

An Overbrook Kansas native, Sarah Runyon moved to Pittsburg in 2007 to attend Pittsburg State University, where she studied marketing and graphic design. After earning her undergraduate degree from PSU (BS ‘011), Sarah stayed in Pittsburg and expanded her experience in the public relations and marketing field. She went on to work for the Colonial Fox Theatre Foundation, Mosaic in Southeast Kansas, and Freeman Health System, before ultimately accepting a position with the City of Pittsburg in 2017. Sarah held the position of public information manager for 6 years before moving into her current role as Community Development Specialist.

Sarah has been a part of many local non-profit and civic organizations including Mosaic in Southeast Kansas, Colonial Fox Theatre Foundation, Pittsburg Area Young Professionals, SEK Art Fest, Downtown Advisory Board, Pittsburg Sunrise Rotary, First Baptist Church of Cherokee, Joint City-University Advisory Board Marketing Committee, and Crawford County Recovery Task Force. Sarah lives in Pittsburg with her husband Isaac and daughter Freya.

Kaylyn is an attorney and Crawford County native. She grew up in Cherokee Kansas. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Pittsburg State University and her law degree from the Washburn University School of Law. She has practiced in Pittsburg since 2018 and currently works at the Fleming Law Firm. Kaylyn loves to be involved in this community. In addition to being a Chamber Ambassador, she is a member, past president and Paul Harris Fellow of Pittsburg Sunrise Rotary, a board member of the Crawford County Bar Association and serves on the Pittsburg Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Kaylyn is also proud to be honored as a 2-24 Pittsburg Area Chamber of Commerce Woman of Distinction. Kaylyn spends many weekends playing the role of “coach’s wife” with her husband, Shawn Seematter. When they have free time, they like to travel, hike and eat!

She and her husband, Rick, have three daughters—all graduates of Pittsburg State University—and are now blessed with six grandchildren. Cheryle owns Shelter Insurance Agency at 208 S. Broadway and is an active member of the Pittsburg community. She and Rick also manage Rick Moore Construction and Rentals. She attends PittNaz Church, serves on the Children’s Advocacy Center Board and the Irene Ransom Bradley School of Nursing Advisory Board at PSU, and dedicates her time to various volunteer efforts. A devoted Chamber member for over 11 years and an enthusiastic Ambassador, Cheryle loves being part of a group that believes Pittsburg, KS, is the perfect place to raise a family and stay connected. She is a proud mom of two boys and now a beautiful granddaughter.

Marissa grew up in Girard, KS, so is very familiar with the area. She attended Pittsburg State and was a member of the women’s basketball team. After Pitt State, she went to Wichita State to earn her master’s degree in Sport Management. Her experience is primarily in athletics administration but has taken on a new role as Assistant Director of Partnership Development/Industry Engagement for the department of Economic Development/Community Outreach at Pittsburg State. Marissa is also a member of the Big Brothers Big Sisters Leadership Council, the Pittsburg Community Child Care Learning Center Advisory Board, and the PSU Recreation Advisory Board. In her spare time, Marissa loves to chase her two ornery boys, attend sporting events, and attempt DIY projects she finds on Pinterest.

Matt is a Pittsburg native and seventh generation Southeast Kansan. He attended St. Mary’s Colgan schools K-12 before earning his BBA from Pittsburg State University in 2008. Matt has worked in the nonprofit sector, primarily on improving food systems, since 2010. He currently works as the Executive Director for Wesley House, an outreach ministry of the First United Methodist Church.  Matt is a former Board Member for the Pittsburg Area Chamber of Commerce and the Pittsburg Area Young Professionals and a current Board Member for Pittsburg Beautiful and the Pittsburg Noon Rotary Club.

Anthony Navaratnam, Executive Pastor for FLAG church Pittsburg KS, has been in full-time ministry for 13 years. He migrated from Sri Lanka to the United States in 1995 to attend Pittsburg State University where he received a Bachelor’s of Science in commercial graphics and a Masters of Arts in marketing and advertising.

After working in the corporate world for 12 plus years, He pursued a call of God for full time ministry. He received his ministerial training through AGKSOM. During his season of full-time ministry at FLAG Church, he has worn various hats: Youth Pastor, Outreach Pastor and currently the Executive Pastor of FLAG Church. He has worked on various outreach initiatives with Rural compassion, Convoy of Hope & the Kansas Food Bank to impact and influence the local community for Christ. He has served as a youth consultant for Kansas Youth ministries. He was actively involved in Youth Camps (as a camp coordinator), Youth Conventions (event coordinator), Saturate (site coordinator) and Fine Arts (evaluator). As the executive pastor he has helped stream line and implement various processes at his local church and at the district level.

He serves as the Regional Director of Business Development for Medicalodges, where he focuses on creating partnerships and opportunities that elevate care and connection across the Southeast Kansas region. One of his favorite recent initiatives has been launching the Senior Unified event in Pittsburg—an inclusive community wellness program designed to unite seniors and individuals with disabilities through shared activity and purpose.

Todd’s goal is simple: to serve wherever he goes and leave each place better than he found it.

Paige has been involved with the Pittsburg Chamber for 4 years now. She has always had a passion for building trusting and long-lasting relationships. She is employed at Servpro Pittsburg, and Fort Scott where she is the account manger and marketing rep. She spends most her work days in the car, traveling from businesses to business to educate on SERVPRO services and build relationships within the community. When off the clock, Paige will spend her time coaching her daughters softball team or cheering her son on from the sidelines. She and her husband spend most their days outside while their kids take part in their many sporting activities or will stay inside and watch BOOMER SOONER sports on TV. Paige’s goal is to have made a positive impact on whatever community she steps foot in.

Brody has a passion for helping people which has led him to work for non-profit organizations. Brody enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, driving around while listening to music, and being outside. Brody is extremely extroverted and loves being out in the community!

In this role, she plans and executes a variety of signature events and leads the Advancement Ambassadors, a student organization that supports outreach and engagement efforts for the university.

Born and raised in Southeast Kansas, Jodeci is deeply committed to building strong community connections. She is a former Chamber Director in Parsons, Kansas, and is excited to continue championing local businesses and organizations as a Pittsburg Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassador. A proud Pitt State alumna, Jodeci brings passion, energy, and creativity to everything she does. Outside of work, she’s a devoted dog mom and an avid reader who loves getting lost in a good book. She looks forward to making a positive impact and contributing to the continued growth of the Pittsburg area!

Timbrelee McNair was born and raised close by in Girard, Kansas. She graduated from the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs with a degree in Business Marketing and was a member of the women’s golf team during her time there. She is now the co-owner of Pittsburg Interiors, a furniture and flooring store opened by her parents in 1999. Timbrelee is an active member of Crestwood Country Club, where she serves on the Greens Committee, and she is deeply involved in her church community, serving each year as the Vacation Bible School Director.

Following her time at the newspaper, Stephanie began her role as a communications specialist at Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas before returning to her college job at Mosaic in Southeast Kansas, this time as a community relations manager.

Madisyn has served as the Director of Development for the Crossland College of Technology since 2023. In her role, she leads fund raising and donor relations efforts, working to connect industry partners and individuals with meaningful opportunities to support students and programs. She’s passionate about sharing the incredible work happening within the Crossland College of Technology and loves helping others see the impact of giving back to a place she loves.

Kayli Montoya-Huston is a lifelong Kansas resident and proud Pittsburg local. She is the owner of Kayli Montoya Fitness and the founder of Phoenix Rising, an online coaching community dedicated to helping people build strength—both physically and mentally—through simple, sustainable health and fitness habits. Kayli works with clients across the country, but some of the most meaningful parts of her work happen right here in Pittsburg. She leads a community fitness class at The Greenway and a senior strength and mobility class at The Villas at Creekside, creating space for people of all ages to improve their confidence, health, and independence.

She became a Chamber Ambassador to support other small business owners and give back to a community that means so much to her. Kayli is passionate about building meaningful connections, encouraging others, and helping Pittsburg continue to grow and thrive.
