Our novel Stranger has five viewpoint characters; one, Yuki Nakamura, is
gay and has a boyfriend. Yuki's romance, like the heterosexual ones in
the novel, involves nothing more explicit than kissing.
An agent from a major agency, one which represents a bestselling YA novel in the same genre as ours, called us.
The agent offered to sign us on the condition that we make the gay
character straight, or else remove his viewpoint and all references to
his sexual orientation.
This isn't about that specific agent; we'd gotten other rewrite requests before this one. Previous agents had also offered to take a second look if we did rewrites… including cutting the viewpoint of Yuki, the gay character.
It's time to stand up and demand change. Spread the word everywhere if you are just as angry and outraged by this.

I am at the airport now, waiting for my flight back to London. I only have ten hours to go. :/
Last night was surreal, probably one of the best nights in my entire existence. I'm not just saying that. I'm pretty sure nothing I have ever experienced before is as good as what happened last night.

I don't have high hopes for the Jersey show tonight because I've heard rumors that people are already waiting at the venue. I think this is bullshit. Hopefully, I still can make my way up the pit during the show tonight and get a good view of Frank and his glorious face.

My ears are still ringing this morning after one of the most amazing live performances I have seen in my 32 years of existence.
Losing my hearing is a small price to pay in this case (although I'm really hoping it comes back to normal soon).

Welcome to Get Pedicone Some, a fic/art meme dedicated to the wonderful Mike Pedicone!
We all love the guy but there is a serious lack of Pedicone around these parts. This post will be the one stop for all your Pedicone needs.
How it will work?
Well, we gotta have some rules, don't we?
- All fics/art must have Mike Pedicone in them (and not as a secondary character. He must be the focus/part of the main pairing).
- One prompt per comment.
- You can either be anonymous or not.
- You can leave as many prompts as you'd like but make sure you try and fill at least one prompt so we're not stuck with all prompts and no fics. That would be a shame.
- Please follow this format for prompts: pairing/threesome/moresome, a prompt that can as short as a word or a short paragraph.
- Requests can be filled out more than once.
- Fics/art can be any rating.
- Please keep it civil. If there's any drama, bashing or inappropriate behavior, I will have to ban/freeze people.
- When filling a prompt, reply to the comment and put the title/pairing/rating in the subject line. Include any warnings at the top of your comment.
-Please pimp this as much as you can.
